Fandom Radio: August 16th, 2024.
Eleanor: See, I knew you squirrels were going to do something like this, I'm so glad I decided to come in early. Stewart, I am so sorry they went and woke you up this early when I was going to be here anyway.
Stewart: Oh, I was still up.
Eleanor:...don't you usually work on Fridays?
Stewart: Sometimes.
Eleanor: So when do you sleep?
Stewart: I'll sleep when I'm dead.
Eleanor: ... ... ....right, so that's definitely not always true, but let's not get into that right now. I really need to do radio today, and there's usually not even enough notes to really need two people, so if you just wa--
*excited squirrel gasps*
Both: What?
*excited squirrely sing-song voice*
Eleanor: 'El and Stewart in the morning?' What? No. No, this isn't going to be a--
*raucous squirrely cheering*
Stewart: We might as well give the people what they want.
Eleanor: They're not people, they're squirrels, they-- *sigh* Fine, alright. Sure. We'll do El and Stew--
*squirrely singing again*
--art in the Morning. Here. You take the school notes, I'll take the town, and there's no notes for the Dorms
Both: Except the note that says there's no notes for the Dorms.
Eleanor: Right. So....
Stewart: *clears throat obnoxiously* So, in this edition of Radio Rodents Writing Rumors for Reportage, our School Days started with Plants procured a parade to a place called Soulwood, where the professor is particularly from.
Eleanor: Oh, that's going to be your thing?
Stewart: Precisely. The Olypmics...Kinda killed equestrian and breakdancing conditions, while Treat Yourself tasted tapas and talked about travel. Fine Wine & Dine flitted to New Zealand for their sips and snacks, while Liliana laid into her lute in her office, and Belle blustered over books and disasterous detritus in the Library.
Eleanor?
Eleanor: Mmm, thanks, Stewart. Moving on to the Town, Arden visited me at Plant Parenthood, mostly to talk about how Kamala is still a sloth. Mayor Fadon was busy with paperwork at the Town Hall, where she got to complain about it to Bucky over sandwiches and hear about his plans for the weekend.
Liz was also dealing with paperwork at the Photo Hut, as per usual, while Steven was dealing with supply deliveries at the Museum. Detective Watts stopped by to bring lunch and talk about their days, which included Steven telling him about Nell stopping by to give them some vegetables from our visit to Soulwood. They caught up a little, too, and talked about Nell's experience in teaching her class this semester. Bucky also stopped by to see what the whole deal with the museum was.
It was also Annie's last shift at the Devil's Nest, which had Eric wishing her luck and Detective Watts learning about where she's off to next. Gladio and Nell were also there for one last drink....made by Annie, anyway.
And that's our last note, so we'll close it out here, unless you have anything important to add, Stewart?
Stewart: Nothing but a song to play us out.
Eleanor: You can't do a song, Arden does a song at the end of her broadcast.
Stewart: Arden doesn't have a copyright on playing music. Besides, her musical choices are...heh....well...
Eleanor: I like Arden's music choices. What are you bringing to the table?
Stewart: This.
Eleanor: *loudly over the music*....just what everyone wants to start their morning to! I am so sorry, everyone! Please have a good day!
*music plays them out*
