Fandom Radio, Saturday, June 15
Good morning, everyone, and it is I, Lydia Bennet, here to read you all the news the squirrels saw fit to write down yesterday! God help us all.
We shall begin, as always, with the school, where Doctoring 101 took a trip to a hospital in Dr. Navaan's homeland. I do hope it was educational for them. Food Network Appreciation learned about the food of Italy and enjoyed desserts, and then Miss Smith brought Professor Stark some cupcakes. Oh, I have learned this lesson. Don't eat the cupcakes, sir! Camping 101 met indoors, but only so they could use the Danger Shop to go hiking at night. Horrors. Mrs. Ingram and Mr. Amicitia discussed celebrating their anniversary. Yoga class learned about the 'throat' chakra, and Improvisation in Action was 'speed dating,' whatever that is. And the last class of the day, of course, was Wonders of the Weave, where we learned about counterspells and shielding.
Well done with no notes from the dorms--oh, do stop crying, I cannot bear a blubbery porg. On to the town! Miss Khan and Miss Finch were out for a run, and ladies, please do not ask me to join you, although Miss Khan was joined by Mr. O'hara. Miss Skywalker was studying and taking notes at her warehouse, while at Stark Industries Miss Mariner was once more covered in glitter. It is a modern plague, I have noticed this. At the Trooper Station, there were oranges, and Mr. Grant stopped by for lunch, although he missed Dr. Quinn, who dropped by with a plate for him she had found earlier in the day at Needful Things. There was not some poor creature in pain at Pizza Planet, but rather Mr. Raiden's singing, and speaking of music, at Groovy Tunes Stewart received a phone call from his mother, wishing him a happy birthday! Oh! Many happy returns, sir! And finally, Captain Flint, our newest resident, found his way to the Bookbelt, where I did my humble best to introduce him to modern life--although I forgot to tell him about this broadcast and the squirrels, oh dear--and Mr. Dekarios stopped by to inquire as to whether or not the shop was open, which it is not, just yet, and to play him a message he'd received from Dr. Navaan. Was it about leeches? The squirrels won't tell me.
And those are all of my notes! I hope you will all join me in wishing Captain Flint a warm welcome to our island, and Mr. Stewart a very happy, if slightly belated, birthday! Until next week, dear islanders, I bid you farewell!
