Fandom Radio, Tuesday (2/21)
What's up, denizens of Fandom? You were just listening to Fenne Lily with "Lights Light Up," and I'm your intrepid and awesome Tuesday host, Steph Gingrich. Yep, back here on the island, for those of you off on the spring break trip.
...which is why there are no School notes today! Or Dorms notes.
Or much of any notes, really. It's pretty quiet here in Town this week.
*tiny, somehow infinitely sad drum fill*
As you can tell, the porg, who is getting pretty good at the drums now and I'm so proud, is a little down about that, but hey, we've still got a few news items from here! Like one for the Photo Hut, where Prompto was getting his work done but his head wasn't really in the game. The squirrels' theory is that he's still super distracted by that whole being a brand new dad thing, but hey, Liz brought Noctra down to say hi and joke about how she's going to end up working there someday too! At least I'm assuming it was a joke. The Magpie Emporium's resident feline overlord, Saffron, was demanding her tribute of snuggles from Vi and had a few choice grumbly noises to make about interlopers when I dared to return bearing coffee.
*alarmed chittering*
Not for the cat, holy *[BEEP]*! Meanwhile, Raiden's Pizza Planet specials were... dear god, what even are those. Red beans and rice pizza. Why is this a thing. Why. Because it's the kind of thing that attracts Steve McG in to inquire about the specials but also talk about the, uh, eventfulness of last week.
And that's literally it for what's going on here, but Leroy just handed me the notes from Spring Break, so...
Daytime activities at the resort included Summer and Stark being relieved to have their usual bodies back, which I'm sure is totally not awkward at all, Tahani still apparently in the same lounge chair she's been in since she got there, Connor and Cutter making windsurfing plans over breakfast at Ombak where Ignis was also enjoying breakfast, Shunsui...
Leroy, I can't read the rest of this note, what --
*chittering*
What do you mean, his board shorts temporarily blinded your reporter? Never mind. Kurt was just vibing at the beach, but since activities are kind of a resort thing we have a note here about a rice island tour that Rosa and Anakin went on. There was surfing too, where Gladio, Connor, and Cutter were leaning into that particular spring break trope. There was also paddleboarding for the falling-averse or people who wanted to get some upper body work in with their surfing, I guess, and that's where Dwight, Sidon, and Steve and Tony were. And finally, there was an all-day expedition that Amaya, Clare, Libby, and Belle joined in on.
And because it's spring break the party doesn't stop when the sun goes down, so Anakin was showing off his newly-acquired mixology skills to Stark and Summer. Why does this terrify me? I don't know, but Stark reassured Summer that the drinks didn't kill him, so I feel a little better too, actually. Amaya offered to trade Anakin some chicken skewers for a drink that turns purple when you put lemon juice in it. Okay, yeah, legit reason to be excited about that. Libby was winding down after the expedition on the pool deck with Kurt, and there's glitter all over my boots now, thanks, squirrels.
*indignant trilling*
Oh, that was you? Sorry, my bad. All glitter credit to the porg this time. Wait. Is that glitter sand? Oh, it's thematic. Respect. Evening activities included Sakaki, Graham, and Belle -- aw, there's almost a pun there -- taking a sunset horse ride on the beach and a yoga session where Gladio, Jon, and Sidon all went to defy the stereotypes of yoga practitioners, I guess. And then there was the mixology class previously referred to, where Anakin, Summer, Ignis, and Rosa were all in attendance.
And that's all I've got for you this week. Enjoy the rest of your break, and I'll talk at you again when it's over!
