Fandom Radio, Tuesday (12/6)
What's up, Fandom? You just heard "Marshmallow World" by the Regrettes, and this is Steph coming to you live on WTFH, where I can at least guarantee you that Tuesday mornings in December are a Whamageddon-free zone.
*inquisitive chittering*
Look, that song and I have a history and it's not the greatest, okay? Anyway, let's find out what our tiny fuzzy rum-soaked overlords have deemed newsworthy for Monday, huh?
Starting off, as usual, with School news: Intro to Fandom was supposed to provide a simulated invasion to prep the class for when the real thing... possibly inevitably occurs?
🎶It's been a whiiiiiiiile.🎵
I realize this is probably less than reassuring, but all in the name of preparedness, I guess? Anyway, that was supposed to happen, but the Danger Shop had other ideas and then things just got really random instead. Non-Deadly Heroics used a game of charades as an exercise in communication -- you know what, sure -- and Diplomacy had to plan seating arrangements for a bunch of people and their egos, which sounds distinctly unfun. Fight Stuff, on the other hand, had to fight a dragon which sounds like exactly the opposite of unfun.
*chittering*
I mean, yes, I do also think it's fun to make my players have to fight dragons.
There are no Dorms notes, and the porg does not think that's fun, for the record. Hand me the Town note stack, Leroy, if you would? Thanks.
At the Photo Hut, Prompto was singing along with Christmas music, and made evening plans with Liz, who decided to stay in and make coffee today instead of going out in the marzipan rain. And -- Prompto, no, not the Space Battles holiday special. Sakaki said no to the Furnado vet's plans to 🎵find out which pets were naughty or nice🎶 and put them on a Pet of the Week board, and just put all the cats on the good side of the list which I agree is absolutely valid.
Summer put the brakes on Apu's plan to repackage and sell the sky marzipan at Turtle and Canary, where the Squishy machine was still sadly out of order and Octavia came in to talk to Summer. At Diaz & Ass., still funny, Rosa was... um... threatening to send someone scorpions for Christmas? That is definitely incentive for good behavior, yikes. Move over, lump of coal. Vi was shadowboxing to work off some restlessness at the Magpie Emporium, which led to making plans with me to go to a rage room and smash things.
*chittering*
Listen. You're not being subtle waving a pack of noodles at me, Leroy. Leave my arms out of this.
Anyway. It was kind of a quiet day for Nell and the kittens at Covent Garden Flowers, and over at the Trooper Station Steve McG was being very stoic about having marzipan rain on him and the paperwork he was totally not doing. Raiden was not using the marzipan for the Pizza Planet specials, which didn't stop Connor from being skeptical about the, uh, British pub fare type theme. Steve 2.0, on the other hand, thought the full English breakfast pizza sounded awesome. Bro, there's just no hope for you.
Tiny's... artistic vision continued to manifest at the Devil's Nest, this time in the form of a six foot holiday tree made out of marzipan that Gladio appreciated getting to watch in progress. He appreciated it more than Eric did, for sure.
And finally, the latest Stabby lore from the Clinic is that... Stabby did not appear to be eating the marzipan even though there was a crab-shaped bowl full of it right next to his tank. Hopefully Stark was taking advantage of that, though.
And on that note... I am out of notes, actually. So until next week, Fandom, this is Steph signing off, and remember: don't let the carolers bite you today. Unless, you know, you enjoy that kind of embarrassment.
