Well, what makes her think I want to do this if she won't get up?

*chittering*

Derry girls do not get up early so we can 'thresh wheat or something'. Ugh. This is Clare Devlin instead of Tahani al-Jamil because somehow she gets to shirk from her work and the squirrels know I'm an overachiever.

*chittering*

Or the first person they came across. Grand, Leroy. We'll go right past classes because we're on holiday, and no one was in the dorms because we're on holiday, and so we just get to town!

*chittering*

And they're all on holiday too. Let's press onto what we did then! Though you were all there, so this seems rather pointless. In the daytime, we went to the Normandy beaches. We ate breakfast--the porridge with all the choices is my new favorite!--and then went to either the Battle of Hastings and Juno Beach or Omaha Beach and the American cemetery. Other people like Kurt and Rosa just went to the shops and cafes instead, and Allie and Beta went to Mont St. Michel and were very confused by it.

*chittering*

It can't possibly look like the school. Don't be daft, Leroy. In the evening, Libby and Kurt had a late night heart to heart, Connor sent a drunk text to Michael--how close were you? t' see who he wrote?--and Sidon went to the haunted abbey. And everyone else went to Summer's party. Goose complained about Amaya's snoring and told Summer about a fake murder, Connor introduced himself as a party newcomer, and then he and Cutter got drunk on jelly shots. And you being chaperones. For shame. Shunsui would never miss a party, and Stark told Summer he'd gone on the ghost tour because some people like t' meddle with spirits who are best left undisturbed. Amaya assured Summer she was having a good trip before spending the night flirting with Irene, though Irene also took some time to praise Summer's jelly shot creations to her face. Anakin hoped Rosa would have an excuse to toss a student overboard--he should never meet my old headmistress because she'd just do it, and then he and Stark decided they rather enjoyed river boat cruises. Summer got gossip from Cutter about his life before Fandom, and Travis told Stark all about the holds he used to do as a teenaged wrestler and I go to convent school and I'm much to young to hear this. Travis told Summer that it was impressive how little effort the chaperones were putting into doing their jobs and Summer said that this trip was easy on account of how no one had gone over a waterfall in a barrel and I'm just...

I'm just going to stop there. This has been Clare Devlin. Enjoy the rest of our holiday! Adieu!
