No, no, no. Not today. Not todaaaay.

*chittering*

Well, I have a hangover and don't feel like I really need to--

*angry chittering*

--Alright! Alright. Just give me the notes so I can return to the blessed darkness of my apartment. As this is a break week, there was nothing over at the school. The dorms were likewise quiet. Save for Rey practicing walking in heels--oooh, a very good skill to have. The bulk of things were over at the party. So, let us just... move onto that.

The New Years Eve party was over at Caritas. Where there were festivities abounds! Yours truly met the new musical talent in town, Steph and we had a bit of a jam session. Though most everything happened in the back room where everyone mingled for the aforementioned party. Summer and Rey complimented each other on their outfits before lamenting how awful high heels are. Annie and Summer also complimented each other on their dress choices for the occasion. Stark also complimented Summer on her whole ensemble before they talked about his new mask--Oh, I must have missed it. Jon wished her a happy new year before lamenting being out with so many people. Ah, a misanthrope. I know the type.

Lucille also recieved compliments from Kitty and an offer of a drink from Shunsui. Billy was impressed by Gladio that one of them was able to clean up nicely and has apparently missed out on some of the, ah, oddities of this place. Liz apologized to Gladio for reasons to do with Prompto, it seems. But it looks like Gladio was very kind about it all. Kitty checked in on Dwight, who was surprised that she'd managed the scope of the party. Summer also did the same in checking in on him. Ignis and Lucille caught up on what he would be teaching this coming semester. He was also surprised to find Goose in a shirt before learning about an unfortunate game of Monopoly that involved a fire. Huh. Well. I'm certain it was a justified fire.

Amaya and Dwight were, according to the squirrels, adorably awkward before addressing that weekend that we repeated a day several times. Irene and Amaya were less awkward, though still adorable according to these notes with a discussion of who Amaya might kiss at midnight. Kitty made sure to let Rosa know that she was a vision in her dress with a wolf whistle. Steve with the tattoos and Rosa exchanges, and I quote here, cool guy nods. Miguel and her contemplated if a bar fight might break out with the amount of alcohol flowing freely. Luckily for us all, it did not.

Annie explained to Rey how to fight in both heels and a skirt without falling over with a broken ankle. Danny complimented Annie's dress before they talked about tropical holidays away from here. Lucille thanked Irene for inviting her to Christmas before finding out just the sort of shop that Irene operates. Irene went on to meet up with Dwight and offer to help him with his woefully lacking wardrobe. Jon also made sure to say hello. Oh--*cough cough*--oh, alright. The glitter on this note is unnecessary. Faye and Stark complimented each other's outfits before Faye suggested they continue to expand his wardrobe. That seems to be going around here.

Dwight met Buck for the first time and tried to help him out with an explanation on how odd this place can be. Though Buck said he was from L.A. and the squirrels are just nodding at me, so I suppose that place is also strange. Diego and Annie discussed her shopping excursion for the evening and how a shower would be needed with the glitter later on in the evening. Steve with the tattoos attempted to tell a very doubtful Diego that he dressed himself for the occasion before receiving a warning about the impending glitter. Silver and Rey bemoaned the discomfort of fashion before drinks and flirting was had. Ah, yes, there's that glitter in the notes again.

Wanda decided that Tony was not over-dressed, the other men weren't dressed up enough before they topped their looks off with novelty glasses for the event. Stark and Rey were very complimentary of each other's outfits, though they both are still learning about all that is required here for such things. Liz also found Stark to apologize and explain what happened during that strange weekend we had. Margo was amused by the tiny bottles of alcohol in the tree which Kitty explained was one of Tino's very few good ideas. Irene was pleased to see her before they caught up on what they'd done over the holidays with Margo being less pleased that Irene had been spending time with Jon. Shunsui asked if Margo would share a drink with him to celebrate the new year. Jon wished a very suspicious Margo a happy new year.

Din and Grogu were cooed over by Kitty who graciously warned him of the glitter shower that was impending at midnight. Stark was also thrilled by the small, green child... thing. And also let Din know about a glitter specific vacuum in existence for this place. Of course there is. Of course. Steph was also thrilled to see Grogu and was informed how to successfully bribe him for his affection. Danny and Steve with the tattoos bickered over their cocktails. He also met Will whom Steve with the tattoos has apparently been assisting at the gun range. Tony and Steve with the shoulders debated if the tree alcohol was safe before settling on drinks from the bar instead.

Steph was sending selfies back home before Kitty thanked her for DJing for the evening. Irene introduced herself to Steph and inquired as to what else she was doing on the island. Yang did nearly the same, though with far more enthusiasm for a 'gaming store'. Hopefully there won't be any Monopoly fires there. Liz and Prompto were, according to the squirrels, terribly couple-y with suggestions of karaoke and drinks being provided. Kitty also got a drink for Liz and learned that she was a former graduate of the high school here.

Kitty was mock offended by Steve with the shoulders' outfit being fair too fancy before they discussed the tree booze. Dwight checked in on Will, offering to get him a drink as they talked about some of the weirdness this place is prone to. Kitty also helped Will with the drink situation, but also encouraged him to try out some of the accessories provided for the party. Steph and he discussed how the time is different here and if they ought to start a club for it. Will complimented Stark on his new mask and found out about the time his usual one was stolen.

Kitty complimented Ulysses in his commitment to fashion for the evening. Steph was also impressed with it and learned he was from L.A. Elliot was complimented by Jon on indeed having a coat of some level of sparkle and the cattiness was appreciated by Elliot. Stark checked in on Travis and had to explain that there were several days that were repeated for some people. Well. All people, but some of us didn't remember it. Liz jumped onto that 'remember how you don't remember things from those days? For an apology for burning down the fire station. Huh. That's... ironic, I suppose.

New Rosa met Kitty and was pleased to find a non-alcholic option on the cocktail list. Steph was pleased to see a familiar space and they talked about where they were from before arriving on this far little island of ours. Troy and Alexis were--oh, they're bringing out the glitter flags again--they debated if they could drink champagne before the countdown or on then. Alexis was worried about accidentally hitting on a teacher, though Belle was dubious about the reality of doing such before having a terribly awkward run in with Five

Oh, we're almost through the pile now, folks! Jon let Kitty know that he wasn't much of a party person and was there at the behest of Summer, his teaching buddy. Hannibal welcomed Dwight to the faculty and assured him that the students were good. Liz said hello to Hannibal and he promised to save any probing questions for their usual therapy sessions. And, finally, there was a glitter rain as the clock struck midnight! It was very... sparkly.

Yes. And that is all there is. And it was a lot. So, I will now finally get some coffee and the greasiest food I can manage for my hangover. This is has been Jaskier, your resident troubadour wishing you all a lovely new year.
