Fandom Radio, Wednesday 11/2
Good morning, it’s Wednesday, I was accosted by squirrels as usual, so I suppose it’s time to tell all of you about yesterday’s news. Or today’s news from yesterday. I’m never quite sure which is the right way to say it. Maybe they both are? Maybe neither one is right. I don’t know.
We’ll start with the school because we always start with the school because that’s how the notes go. With the school first. Why do we always start there?
*chittering*
No, I was just wondering if there was a reason it isn’t a problem I was just curious you don’t need to look at me like that. I’ll read the notes now. Stop staring like that.
Shop Class learned how to make pots today and there are very disappointed notes from some squirrels about a lack of movie reenactments. What movie?
*chittering*
Oh, I haven’t seen that. Maybe I should?
Fixin’ Stuff worked on fixing holes in walls. No movies involved there. In Ethics class Anakin did not share the chocolate equitably. Of course he didn’t, he’s Anakin. There are no movies involved there either but Fear in Literature discussed a story about hunting people and the squirrels tell me there is a movie of that story.
There are no notes from the dorms about movies or otherwise.
And no movies in the town either but there are notes at least. Tisarwat went looking for the headphone monster at Groovy Tunes but did not find it. I hope that doesn’t mean it’s escaped if there was a headphone monster but I’m not sure there ever was a real headphone monster but on this island I think nearly anything is possible. Liz was organizing photographs at The Photo Hut and Jon came in and admired the photos of her cat. Buck was eating leftover candy at the fire station and Travis came looking for peanut butter cups and to talk to Buck about the lack of emergencies here. I don’t have emergencies to offer but I do have some candy left. I could share, Travis. The Magic Box had no decorations today aside from Jeff and Wanda was doing inventory. Perhaps more decorations next week? Or maybe the shop needed a break. Or Wanda did. There did seem to be a lot of decorations, before.
There was also a lack of decorations at Caritas. That sounds better than last week. There were so many and they were so loud. Rosa was there for a drink and to talk about Kitty not being a monster anymore and about the decorations. The squirrels have not offered any commentary on decorations at the Devil’s Nest yesterday but Lucifer was offering free drinks to anyone willing to try them. Maybe I should have gone? Except the last time one of the bars here offered free drinks to everyone I ended up turning into a plant when I woke up and riding a skateboard everywhere so maybe it’s better I didn’t go. Silver came in to try some of the drinks and talk to Lucifer about his new club, as did Miguel and Eliot. Eric questioned giving away free drinks, and Liz agreed to try one. And finally Yang took our Making the World a Better Place class to a winter gear drive.
That is all of the notes I have today of things that happened yesterday.
