Good morning! It's me, Clare, and I guess I'm doing the radio today? The squirrels were quite insistent and a wee bit mean about it if we're being completely honest.
*thunking noises*
And throwing nuts at me is not making ye less mean, Leroy. Let's get t' the news, shall we? Classes have started up again, which is good because me mothers say if I lie about one more day without cracking a book, my brains will leak right out of my ears.
*chittering*
No, that's not a real thing that happens. At least, not as far as I know. Shunsui started his class on Battle Tactics with introductions and asking if any of the teenagers he is instructing have experience in war. That's a wee disturbing! I've grown up in Derry and know things like looking two and three times before crossing a street t' be sure the boyos aren't out with rifles today, but that's just common sense. I'm not a general. Summer had her first day teaching Badass Bitches and somehow my friend Michelle back home is very upset she's in Latin class and not that one. Kitty had us talk about how much we enjoy cupcakes in Cupcake class--quite a bit, honestly--and Advanced Cultural Studies watched a movie where they were supposed to analyze the costuming.
Troy was hosting breakfast in the dorms this morning, and Illyana fell through her ceiling and back into her room--what?
*chittering*
No, that doesn't "just happen."
In town, Sakaki was cleaning the fish tank at Furnado, McGarrett--there's a familiar last name--was not doing paperwork at the police station, and Nell was very cheerfully working at the flower shop. Margo met Seivarden at Caritas but didn't avail herself of the beer special, preferring martinis as she complained about how she fell into an apartment to arrive in Fan--
*emphatic chittering*
Happening TWICE doesn't mean it's common, Leroy. Annie was at the other bar and got visits from Rey who talked about her dead visitor from last weekend, and Jon, who's new and teaching literature at school. There's a literature class and I'm not in it?! Sister Michael is going to find out and know I'm taking cupcakes instead and tell my mother and then I'll be grounded for the entire rest of my life!
*chittering*
I am in no way overreacting. Margo--before the bar--set up her new shop and complained to Travis that the person who lived here before was probably a serial killer.
*long pause* Maaaaaybe someone should look into that?
Diego came back to his apartment to tell Annie that his mother has passed away: didn't your father pass last week? May the Blessed Mother and the saints preserve you. I'll pray a novena for the repose of their souls. Miguel and Rosa discussed how Rosa was teaching math this semester and how killing the moose in the office probably wouldn't change that.
Well. This was a radio broadcast full of death so I am going to stop talking right now and probably go to church, just in case. Talk to you next week, unless, of course, I see you sooner!
