Another day, another holiday I barely understood. On with it.
Over at the school -- wait, it was a holiday and there were still classes? That doesn't seem right. Someone should protest. Anyway, Pirating class set off cannons, Jedi class had Adora as a sub doing something dumb with hair, Underwater Basket-Weaving climbed waterfalls, and Food Field Trips went to Morocco.
In the dorms, Astrid's breakfast was quiet this week, though she had thematically-appropriate breakfast burgers.
In town, Seivarden did the wise thing and refused to serve Amaya that Night Train thing we had in Jessica's class last week. Amaya. No. Rosa was at work mostly as an excuse to not be other places -- well played -- and got a visit from Miguel with food. And Sakaki got a shipment of pet costumes at Furnado, which sounds cute but I also want to watch someone put a hat on a cat. See how that works out for you.
But the real action was over at MCA, where they were having an eat-food-outside thing. I guess that's part of the holiday? Okay. Anyway, Rey and Danny tried to figure out where the decorations had come from and whether squirrels might be responsible, while Danny also offered food to Shunsui and was sort of confused by the sake thing. Oh, yeah, it's neat, right? Like magic. or at least some incredibly impressive sleight of -- Anyway! Diego and Danny talked about the Fourth of July, which is at least a holiday I've heard of, before, while Annie went ahead and tried to jinx us with inflatables again, talked to Rey about hanging out with royalty, and got a lei onto Diego.
*chittering*
No, it's way too easy. And Stark checked in on her after something that happened a few weeks ago, because he's nicer than most people deserve. He and Danny discussed the possibility than either gremlins or raccoons had maybe set up the party, and Stark talked to Liam a little about Nina's birthday, and Liam discussed the impromptu nature of this party with Danny.
Steve was in charge of food, apparently, so people went over to pay him tribute at the grill. Or bicker, if you're Danny. Diego and Steve discussed the easiness of lei puns -- s'what I'm saying, guys -- Annie commented on the tastefulness of the decorations, and Stark learned to grill. I will remember that.
And that's it for me. Be good today, island. Or don't, but at least be interesting.
