fandom radio - tuesday, may 25th

Can I smoke in here? You know what, I don't even care what you say. You're a squirrel; I'm not asking a squirrel for permission to do jack.

Anyway. You people did some things yesterday, so let's get to it.

First of all, there were classes, which just makes Monday even that much more Mondayish, I feel like. Kicking things off is Pirating class, which chose to show a movie about vegetable pirates. I'd watch that. Are they, like, pillaging vegetable plunder, or they themselves are vege -- you know what, I'm in either way. Nick's Angry Class took sledgehammers to an old house -- nice -- while Jedi class took naps. Or, like, fine, they meditated, but I work at a meditation center and I know what that really means. Underwater Basket-weaving played a game that these notes assure me is not Marco Polo, but just very similar to it, and finally, Exploring Earth Cuisine went to Paris and had to wear special coats to get in the door or something?

In the dorms, it was Monday morning, so people ate breakfast with Astrid. Do you all not eat breakfast on other days? I never hear anyone else talking about breakfast on the radio. Anyway, Nina is distraught that it's just Pop Tarts this week, and I don't get it, because Pop Tarts are great. They have fruit sometimes, even! Malia wanders in and Astrid explains about how the Pop Tarts just showed up, and Malia explains how she's new to being human. That's a great excuse for pretty much anything that I might have to borrow, nice. And Nina and Malia bemoan preservatives and fake elements in food. Well, we can't always be so picky, girls. Sometimes Pop Tarts are all we have. Or all we can muster up the energy to prepare, and by prepare I mean eat straight from the box 'cause they're fine cold.

Over in town, Sakaki did some bonding with all the animals at Furnado before the cats attacked her, Summer discovered that T&C was fully ready for camping season -- gross -- and Rosa was engaged with something really important on the internet, it seems like. Steve ran the troopers through their drills while singing vegetable pirate songs -- they're singing vegetable pirates? I love this -- and Liam worked on some birthday planning at teh Perk. Can't say whose birthday, though, since that's supposed to be a surprise or whatever, right? Anyway, Liam talks to Ignis about this mystery birthday and some mysterious plans that go with it, and to Alluka about how it might be time for him to stop in with a wardrobe refresh. And Ignis is there to judge Alluka for ordering a bunch of chocolate, which...you know, it sounds good but it also depends on what level of hangover might be involved, here. And finally, Seivarden is back with the fancy wine again, and Breq is here for it, while Jessica was more skeptical, and Breq checked in on where Jess landed on mixed drinks.

And that's it. I have to go be an important teacher now. What? No, I don't know what we're doing yet. Part of teaching is improv, not that you would appreciate such a thi --
