-- first the class, now you’re telling me I have to talk on the radio?
*chittering*
You should find someone who actually wants to do this. I’m not. I refuse. I have better things to do, I have a very important class to teach, and -- wait, is that rum?
…
...all right, well, this is Faye Valentine, and I guess I’m going to be reporting on the news from yesterday.
First of all, school is in session, and kicking things off with Underwater Basket-Weaving -- seriously? -- where they did introductions because it's the first week, and underwater basket-weaving, because that's the name of the class. So You Want to Be a Jedi also did the introduction thing, but they had laser swords, too, so bonus points to them. Pirating knew the drill and did their introductions, Exploring Earth Cuisine did their introductions in Atlanta, and Clare got herself at job with Lucille while in class. Good job, Clare. I mean, if you have to work for pay, you could probably do worse. And finally, Anger Management did their introductions with a side of talking about why they're mad. I have some spare reasons to be mad, if anyone needs to borrow one.
Over in the dorms, it looks like we had the as-I-understand-it traditional third-floor breakfast with Astrid. Miles climbed in on the ceiling -- sure, why not -- and Astrid told him it was just her because Troy had a first-period class. I mean, so do I -- so do I today -- and the squirrels aren't having it, so I don't know why that excuse should fly. Anyway, Astrid and Clare compared classes, and Miles taught Clare about how 'howareyanow' means 'Breakfast, now,' apparently.
And finally, over in town, Summer set things up at Turtle and Canary for a sale for the new kids, and Sakaki got a job at the animal shelter, where Travis came in looking for a dog. At Caritas, Seivarden was running a special on fancy wine from her home universe -- ooooooooh, do you have to wear gloves t...oh, it says here Hannibal went and got gloves to drink the wine. So I guess it is the custom, good to know. Anyway, Amaya was thrilled to see something other than beer, and since Amaya came in with gloves, she was all set on that front, too. And finally, Nell was at the flower shop, setting aside plants for Travis. And for his new dog, assuming that worked out.
Can I go now?

Yes, I am taking some from the road -- look, if it's early enough for you, then I don't want to hear about it --
