Jaskier: Oh, thank god. The children are all gone and it's safe to be out once more.
*chittering*
Jaskier: No, of course I didn't get any. Thank the gods.
Yennefer: I don’t understand how that happened. I’m sure you’ve got bastards scattered about the countryside.
Jaskier: I would never! Though I may have cuckolded a noble or five…
Yennefer: So few? Well, you’re young yet.
Jaskier: You say the sweetest things. Over at the school, The Art of Japanese Culture Through Untranslatable Words discussed a word that means a lonely mouth. Which is... an interesting one. Let's Get Creative, wisely, cancelled their class. Fudge Yeah Science discussed volcanos while the teacher's child tried to get them to interact with a real one. Which would be a mistake since no one needs to deal with that goat man again.
Yennefer: In the dorms, Five was in the second floor common room with his...mannequin child, Tim, where he was joined and confused by--your child is a mannequin, what could confuse you?--Vatalija (oh, I see now). They were also joined by Belle, as well as She-Ra and her cat child, who made friends with Vatalija. No word on if the mannequin was invited to join their group.
Jaskier: I have several concerns about the communion of children.
Yennefer: I must admit that I share these concerns. On the third floor, Wayne made breakfast, which was also graced by Belle, as well as Eleanor, who was, quote, "really milking the prom queen thing," end quote, although Belle decided to play along.
Jaskier: That's just asking to be violently deposed.
Jaskier: Over at the town, Octavia built sandcastles on the beach with her child. Over at the Perk, Lucifer was having an unpleasant day it would appear. He met Lucille's child and they agreed that they both weren't fond of children as a whole. He also did a bit of texting before meeting Jessica's daughter, Dani. At Turtle & Canary, Summer dealt with a large number of children that weren't hers, thankfully. She then met Seivarden's child before Barry and their daughter showed up to complain about her father for the volcano class. Which seems unfair.
Yennefer: Seivarden was on duty at Caritas, yet curiously, no one seemed to feel the need to drink. Likewise, no one was buying any flowers from Nell at Covent Garden Flowers, so she gave the flowers extra attention, while at Diaz & Ass., Rosa was in such a good mood she actually did a bit of work. Impressive, Rosa.
Jaskier: At the ice cream shop, Steve with the muscles ordered quoteunquote and ungodly amount of ice cream for himself, Tony, and their daughters to share. Duke was at the park with his daughter, learning all about the exhausting nature of parenthood. Lucifer lingered along the edge before being drawn in by Duke to discuss alcohol. Ginger--Duke's daughter--was thrilled to find a boy whom she couldn't control. Well. That's certainly a note.
Yennefer: Why on Earth would she want a boy she can’t control?
Jaskier: Perhaps for the novelty of it?
Yennefer: Cannot relate. Oh, I found the people who were drinking! I knew it had to be happening somewhere, and it was, at The Devil's Nest, where Annie was behind the bar. Summer showed off pictures of her offspring, and Jessica requested bourbon. Dark-Haired Steve showed off his foster child, and Stark and Annie talked about their departed children.
Jaskier: Oh, here are the notes on the leaving! At the Park, the children gathered up to leave us once more. Thankfully. Jessica's daughter insisted on taking a selfie with her mother before departing. Octavia said goodbye to her---niece? Ah, yes. I see the aunt note there. Faye had her phone stolen by her child and I am thoroughly unsurprised by that. Stark made certain to get hugs before his children departed. And, finally, Adora's daughter insisted on being, according to the squirrels, yeeted into the portal home.
Yennefer: Well, she is a cat, apparently.
Jaskier: ...huh. Well. Jessica returned home and got rid of the 'swear jar' that her daughter had inflicted upon her. Octavia returned to her ship and was joined by Lucifer and Duke. I think that's all they had for us.
Yennefer: Is that all? Thank goodness. If the children got much stranger I’m not sure I could have taken it.
Jaskier: This is why contraceptives are important, you know.
Yennefer: I’m not sure that could have prevented the mannequin. Actually, I don’t want to know how that happened.
Jaskier: Dark magic? Isn't that your forte?
Yennefer: If I end up with a mannequin child something has gone seriously wrong.
Jaskier: Just don't get any ideas, yes? That is all we have, peoples of Fandom! Hopefully today is better than the last.
Yennefer: I have to go...double check some of my calculations. Right now. Excuse me.
Jaskier: ...if it happens, no one can blame me. Goodbye!
