Fandom Radio- Sunday, January 24

*sound of music swelling*

Jaye: Good mooooorning, all of you beautiful people! Come, listen to the tale of what happened yesterday! This story has everything! Princesses, fairy godmothers, romance, more princesses!

Stark awoke to song! Princess Rey discovered that Silver was not a prince, but a king! So sadly she would have to find a prince at the ball. Nina went to her father's house for breakfast- I'm sure he's kindly and old and needs a lot of help- and had mice braid her hair. How sweet! Rosa and her dearest friend Anna started the day with a song, and told her loyal husband Miguel that they should attend the ball. Of course! Every ball needs onlookers for the moment when the prince finds his princess! Duke fell off his boat, but luckily had a mermaid to save him! Danny and Steve had breakfast with animal accompaniment- the best kind of accompaniment, I have to say!

Sadly, Steve found Tony cursed with sleep, where only true love's kiss could save him.

*moment of silence*

Moving on! Diego tried to have a quiet day at work, but Ignis wanted to find eligible maidens, Annie wanted to cheer him up with singing and dancing, but at least he found a true friend in Liam. And he and Number Five had a good laugh! Octavia the mermaid was watching the island from the rocks and got many visitors! Steve was on a quest to save his prince Tony and happened upon Octavia, who knows how to break sea witch curses and was looking for a prince. Ignis hoped she might be the owner of a mysterious shoe that had been left behind at Prince Noctis' last ball, but alas, she doesn't have feet. Lucifer tried telling her she's not a mermaid. Don't listen to him, Octavia! With a name like that, he's clearly a villain!

Miguel was grumpy about the songs at Luke's. Oh, no. You know what would make him feel better? Better songs! Ignis came looking for fair maidens and got... the busboy. Shunsui had a moment of quiet meditation in the park, and not one person stopped and asked him for sage advice. Odd. At the local tavern, Anakin came upon... well, me! And sang his troubles away!

Elsewhere, Illyana conjured up some eeeevil goblins to cause trouble in our lovely Fandom. Bewaaaare....

...and Ignis had her try on the shoe.

In the park, there was a fairy godmother granting wishes! This was very lucky for Tahani, and Number Five who was having a bit of trouble flying, who got perfect wardrobe changes! Ignis had Tahani and the fairy godmother try on the shoe, but alas, neither was the maiden he sought.

At last! We've gotten to the ball! Where everyone came to dance the night away, and perchance, meet a prince! Alexis was distressed to learn that Tahani had a fairy godmother and she didn't. Why, my child, you only have to look! Diego asked Annie to dance since she hadn't found her prince yet, and Danny and Steve were good friends at each other until a raccoon stole something valuable from one of them! Oh no! That cad! Annie also told Danny how she was afraid Diego was embarrassed that he can't whistle. Oh dear, should I not have said that? Tahani was horrified she and Belle were wearing the same dress- kind of- but Belle wanted to know all about her fairy godmother. Wayne asked Shuri for a dance, and Beauregard seemed confused by the situation somehow, though Princess Karolina expected they would dance.

All was well if you could ignore Illyana and Tisarwat lurking menacingly in the shadowy corners of the ballroom, or the suspicious apples innocently in a bowl. Ignis continued his search for the lovely owner of the lost shoe, but sadly, Alexis, Annie, Princess Karolina, Astrid, *deep breath*, Lana, Shuri, or Belle were a match. But have no fear! Ignis assured Beauregard he would not rest until he finds the owner of this shoe! Good man.

And thus ended a magical night. There are suspiciously no notes about princes, but I'm sure the squirrels were just too entranced by watching true love happen to take them. And this is the end of my time, but let me leave you with this.

*music swelling again, to a tune suspiciously like "When You Wish Upon a Star"*

When you talk to an animal
Their advice is fallible
But if you want to take a chance
I'll talk to you

In your heart you'll find a dream
Just don't pick one too extreme
Then talk to this animal
That's my cue

Backup singers that sound just drunk enough to maybe be squirrels:
Keep it simple
Pick an achievable goal
Take it easy on your soul
Maybe binge watch a show

Jaye:
Once you check it off your queue
Take a break or maybe two
When you talk to an animal
They'll help you... kinda

[Get you a brother who has a history of writing songs for FH. Thanks, Nick!]
