Fandom Radio - Tuesday, January 5th

Greetings all! It is a new year, a new series of classes, and new people! How very exciting. I'm Jaskier, the resident wordsmith and musician, here to bring you the news of yesterday,

And my goodness, there is a lot of it.

Let's start with the school, shall we? In The Art of Japanese Culture Through Untranslatable Words--quite a mouthful, isn't it?--they got to know each other with what they are all passionate about. Let's Get Creative introduced themselves, but creatively! Also creative with the introductions was Creative Writing. Oh, those may get confusing. Ah, an old favorite, Fuck Yeah Science learned about speed and all that by crashing cars. Which is also a very creative way to introduce yourselves.

And no one turned into anything. Thank the gods.

In the dorms, Enola caught up with some missives from home when Five--really? Huh--When Five appeared and they argued without arguing.

Wayne had his usual breakfast in the common room. Enola stopped in to see if the breakfast was for any takers, which it was. Nina was also there for the food and to share with Wayne her class later in the day. Enola was thrilled to find out about said class and promised her attendance. Elli and Wayne caught up on their holidays before she and Enola introduced themselves to each other and discussed their mutual homes. Astrid also popped and discussed classes with Elli before meeting Enola. Jules was there for breakfast, agreeing with Nina that it was best when cooked by someone else. She caught up a bit with Wayne before shocking Enola with her cat. Lana also showed up for breakfast and to say goodmorning to Wayne.

Over in town, Summer and Apu had a discussion over if duct tape was a new product or not at Turtle & Canary. Rosa struggled with a case of a missing bee at Diaz & Ass. Though not for the reasons one might assume. Over at the Clinic, Elli had a good day, catching up on what she had missed. At the Devil's Nest, Annie continued to read her terrible book--the squirrels words, not mine. As I have seen the true horror that is anthropomorphic cats.

Oh, and we had a class in town! Castletopia set out to build themselves a castle and also to make their introductions with titles. If we want to be technical, I happen to be a Viscount. But that is hardly important here. Over at the Trooper Station, Steve with the tattoos dealt with unpleasant screaming over the phone, before recieving a warning from Diego about his brother and snack theft. At the gym, Beau struggled with technology in her pursuit of higher education. Seivarden was there to commiserate with her over the state of technology here.

Duke settled in over at The Perk when Rey stopped in for coffee and they caught up on what they'd done for the holidays. Dante stopped by 33 Apocalypse Ave to learn that it was vacant, much to the joy of both him and Kathy. At MCA Rey found that the television would only show us the horror that was singing cat-people. SIlver and her discussed how terrible this was before it turned to his new leg--Oh yes! I forgot to congratulate him on that. Congratulations, Silver! I expressed my disdain for the supposed story structure before we questioned why the illustrious Taylor Swift would do such a thing. I also brought a great deal of wine to suffer through this before Rey suggested pizza to keep us distracted from the sheer horror of it all.

Seivarden offered a variety of martinis over at Caritas. Lucifer stopped in for a drink and to catch up on the holidays. Oh, and to learn that apparently Seivarden will be teaching this semester. How exciting! Summer also stopped in for a drink and to see how the new roommate and the loss of Breq was going. Nick who is new was also there to... well, it looks like he misunderstood Seivarden about being from space and the conversation turned to Sandra Bullock. I'll have to google that one later. Summer checked in with him to see how his first class had gone. All we know is it involved Spider-Man.

Well! That seems to be all there is. I believe I've earned myself a far too sweet coffee now. Have a good day, peoples of Fandom! This has been Jaskier, bringing you the news of the day.
