Fandom Radio, Thursday (10/3)
Beau: Fandom. 'sup. Everybody survive last weekend okay? I mean, I don't actually care, but y'know, I guess I'm supposed to just say something at least, right, Fjord? That's how this goes?
Keyleth: He's not here, he can't -- oh. Right. Hi, everybody! Are you all ready to catch up on everything the squirrels decided to report on yesterday?
Beau: What, are we going to, like, wait and see if somebody says they're not ready, and give them a minute or something?
Keyleth: No, but I'm supposed to say something at least, right, Beau?
Beau: . . . Yeah, okay, good one. I'll concede it. Fine. Have some School notes.
Keyleth: Oh right, that's my cue. Today in Ethics, we had a random student get arrested for . . . um, doing something unspecified? And we had a choice about whether to turn them in or protect them. Except Illyana decided to say "[BEEP] the police," make a portal thing, and ditch class for ice cream with Vette, Eleanor, Okuyasu, Tisarwat, and Sabine.
Beau: Dude, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. I'm into it. Somebody make sure we get this kind of [BEEP] to report on every week. Seriously.
Keyleth: And So You Want to Be a Pirate? got to have a free-for-all fight where Duke encouraged fighting dirty.
Beau: Yeah, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm kind of super jealous of these classes right now. That would've been sick.
Keyleth: And over in the library, Elisabeth was having some trouble with the doors. Ooooh. I totally sympathize. I'm not sure why, but I do.
Beau: Yeah, uh-huh. Okay. Nothing in Dorms to report, so in Town, Shunsui was . . . actually doing work at Turtle and Canary. I would say that's noteworthy, yeah. I'm a little disturbed, to be honest. Peter had a low-key kind of day at Covent Garden Flowers, and then at Chilly Boulder my favorite people for the day, the kids who ditched Ethics, were having, like. A whole [BEEP]ton of ice cream. Vette wanted chili peppers on hers, so . . . you have fun with that, Vette. Okuyasu was impressed with Illyana's teleporting, and explained a little bit about how his powers work to her. Eleanor wanted to know if they could do this every week and ordered shrimp ice cream.
Keyleth: Well, that's a combination of words I wasn't expecting.
Beau: Why would you? I mean. Why. Why. Lana didn't ditch class, but she came to find them afterward and told Illyana that no, she didn't sell them out after they left. Eleanor warned Lana off the shrimp ice cream, while eating the shrimp ice cream, 'cause . . . yeah. Okay. Tisarwat told Lana she's like super into the ice cream and they talked about Illyana's teleporting powers.
Keyleth: In theory, I'll figure out how to do something like that. Eventually.
Beau: I've heard about that. The [BEEP] where you can like walk through trees to get anywhere? That would be dope, not gonna lie. Tisarwat wanted recommendations on what to get and got Eleanor's really confusing shrimp ice cream warning. Or endorsement. It's kinda hard to tell. Okuyasu suggested the choco-strawberry, and they discussed food sensitivities and what their respective worlds are like. Tisarwat turned down Illyana's offer to share her Skywalker Special that she mostly got because it was funny, and Sabine . . . might have had ice cream under all the chocolate syrup she wanted.
[BEEP], now I want ice cream. So let's get through the rest of this [BEEP], and I can go do that. Duke prepped his boat to go sailing or whatever it is Earth boats in this time do, and gave Octavia a tour of it before hitting the water. Is that a phrase? Anyway. The piano at the Devil's Nest was super weirding Jack out but didn't stop her from actually playing a song on it. Listen, Jack, I'm having a really hard time picturing this, just so you know. Kaidan was there to get a soda and judge Jack's breakfast choices and do some catching up and [BEEP].
Aaaaaaaand now I'm going to get some ice cream, and probably get followed by some of those weird new birds.
Keyleth: Aren't they cute?
Beau: Yeah, it's . . . I find it kind of alarming, to be honest. But I mean, whatever, as long as they don't try to bite me with their unsettling beakless mouths.
Keyleth: Well, I think they're adorable. I might go find a few and hang out with them for a little while.
