"Good morning, all you [BEEP] that are up this early. It's Jack with your daily rodent gossip report.
In the dorms, Astrid was reading a letter that I guess made her all happy and paint-y. Nice to read some cheerful news for a change.
The rest of the students were either gone or eerily quiet. I don't trust it.
In town, Miguel was at Luke's for National Meatball Day. That's a thing?"
*chitter of agreement*
"Huh. Guess so. Mike was working at Caritas. Wait, it's open on Saturday too?"
*more agreement chitters*
"Well [BEEP] me. I'll have to go check it out. Atton keeps being [BEEP] missing or hung over or whatever and bein' sober both days of the weekend is really [BEEP] testing my limits here."
*chitter?*
"Because it's the weekend," Jack said in the tune of 'duh', "That's when people go out and drink and be [BEEP] social. It's what weekends are [BEEP] for, Leroy. Ugh, man, you squirrels.. anyway.. speaking of people who don't understand drinking or being social..
Kaidan was at the gym doin' sword practice by himself.. heh, and that's with an actual metal and edged weapon, folks.. and then teaching Sparkle and Hernando how to defend themselves from being grabbed. Good life skill. Everyone should learn that one."
*chitter*
"That don't count as being social. It's a class, not like he's hangin' out. Which he should do more of cuz I feel a little like I'm in Bizarro World or whatever when he's the hermit and I'm the one with all the playdates here. It's real [BEEP] weird and I don't like it.
