Fandom Radio; Thursday, July 26th.
So Blackstone went and got herself covered in bees...and crystals, apparently, so I guess you're stuck with me this morning, lucky you. Here's what all the dumb squirrels say because some people actually care about this stuff or whatever.
Nothing at the SCHOOL, nothing in the DORMS.
TOWN had Cable opening Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center...that just rolls right off the tongue, doesn't it?...and Octavia checked it out. Breq played bass and ate pizza at Groovy Tunes. Sparkle's day at Pick your Poison was interrupted by Major Meathhead, sticking his nose into out people's business, probably, and making his lackey do all the work at the C.I.C..
Then the weekly summer thing seemed right out of Blackstone's Child Labor Playbook as Skywalker had the participants cut logs for cabins in the woods. The responses were mixed as everyone showed up, even when they shouldn't have, like Hot Leaf Water, who I'm sure ignored Iris's sound advice to, you know, go to the clinic, but at least she told me what I already knew about the tea not being poisoned.
Shocker.

I'd be quiet, if I were you, you little rodents were the number one suspects. Anyway, logs. Steve's enthuiasm alone lead him and Uma to the top despite her reservations about potential hazards. Ahsoka's just mad she can't use her lightsaber but Rey tried to make the best of it, while Theron was just nervous about being paired up with the Meep Meep kid. Sabine got an impromptu crash course in other embarrassing things that happen around here other than being turned into an animal from Kathy, while Doctor Buzzkill offered to stitch Cara's hand back on if she cut it off, how sweet. Sidon was way too excited about the fact that Jono would let him keep the fish if they won it, and I don't even think he wanted to win it just to blow it up like Tip and Reno. Astrid got stuck with Hot Leaf Water as a partner, who just complained the whole time; I got a much better partner in Ghanima, who was with me in just getting to work. And Brooke got Yang, who just wanted to punch them.
The logs. Not Brooke.
And, almost as if Skywalker remembered that this was supposed to be a game and not a physical labor camp, he then had everyone climb a tree to get a flag. Ahsoka thought that was boring, but Skylwalker said it was fair, though I have a feeling Rey wouldn't have minded the cards stacked against her more, since she won.
And that's it.
