Fandom Radio; Thursday, May 17.

Good morning, everyone. Amaya Blackstone here, about to read off these here squirrel notes from yesterday, which include an all-caps request for more rum than usual for a Thursday. Seems a bit early for more rum, but I'll not judge. I'll see what can be arranged.

**chittering cheers**

Good to see everything turned back to normal colors after that rain we had. I was about ready to turn the Crumbler into a powerwasher today. Anyway, let's get to these notes.

At the SCHOOL, Peridot was looking up jet skis and macrame at the library, quite possibly tryin' to put them together, and while I don't understand your vision, Peridot, I fully applaud your effort. Nothing much happened at the DORMS, but in TOWN, Peter was dealing with some peole who were confused about the difference between mimosas and flowers over the phone at Covent Garden, Sparkle was feeling the strain of being a commuter during his shift at Pick your Poison, and Breq listened to old mix tapes at Groovy Tunes.

The real excitement for yesterday was, of course, the big Rowboat Race at the docks. A small crowd gathered to cheer and spectate and pump themselves up for the competition. Sidon promised to cheer for Norman in particular, which just may have payed off. Dr. Lecter wondered if Jono had picked out a favorite team out of the competitors and offered Iris some coffee, while Gratuity and Astrid speculated that they'd be pretty much doomed if they were paired up together, so it's a good thing they weren't.

Once the teams were announced, they had a chance to prepare and get ready. Norman imparted the wisdom of the Toirtoise and the Hare to his partner Khadgar, while Peridot created a distraction so Jaylah could steal the prize. Which, for anyone who wasn't there, was a cursed talking fish machine likely from the smoking pits of the Underworld, so I just have to wonder why. Magnus promised not to punch his partner Kanan out of their boat. Cara was not nearly as interested in the fish as Deadpool, who was easily too interested, while Gratuity made it absolutely clear to her partner Theron that there will be no capsizing on their part if it could be helped, despite the promise of a Steve Rogers rescue in that event. Peebee and Bobby, however, were more in the same...boat *snort* about being rescued by Rogers being better than a cursed fish.

**Chittering**

What do you mean? All that water and everyone's still so thirsty?

**chittering**

You miss Summer? Gelatin girl? Hey, I'm doing my best here, I brought you rum!

**hesitant but consillitory chittering**

That's what I thought. May we continue? Okay. Aloy seemed up for the new challenge, while Liam and Zoe discussed the merits of Rogers' attractiveness and the...demerits, I guess, of decorating with singing fish. Reno warned Jenkins about his lack of experience before they made with the introductions and shared some soggy rainbow popcorn, and Sabine was just worried about her partner Beaker blowing up again. Also going in with no experience was Rufus and Aloy. Astrid's concerns about her inexperience were relieved when she found out her partner Jason pretty much grew up on a boat, while Tony was not very helpful in helpin' me understand the whole thing with the fish.

And then the race began, as did the rain, but we came to row, and row we did, to see who would reach the Isle of Ikea first and emerge victorious. The rain...well, the colors of the rain seemed to have distracted Sabine and Beaker, while Reno and Jenkins got off to a backwards start which left them a little behind the rest. Aloy, who knew to head in one direction, was at least ahead of them in that one, and while they rowed, Magnus informed Kanan of his plans to put robot arms on the fish if they won.

Oh, Magnus. I am both horrified yet oddly fascinated.

Well, he didn't win, so the hellfish will remain armless for now. Instead, the spoils and congratuations go to Norman and Khadgar. Way to go, kids. You...might need to see Peridot and Jaylah about your fish, though.

And, in case anyone missed it, you might do well to follow up on Skywalker's tip about macramé for next week.

That's it for me this week! I gotta admit, I'm real curious about what's going to fill these pages next week, too, but until next time, go out and be bold, and I'm honestly a little concerned about how many of you were into that fish.
