Fandom Radio, Tuesday, March 6

Good morning, Fandom, and if you can hear this, you need to get up right now to catch the bus to Beijing. Because nothing says "vacation" like "and also seeing the sun coming up." But you know, educational experiences and so on. At least this trip is something I can spin on a college application. Skiing in Austria just makes me sound like a WASP.

*confused chittering*

No, not the insect. How did you even get here, anyway?

*long amount of chittering*

Oh, the Chinese encourage spying, do they? Color me completely unsurprised to hear that. Let's start back at the island, okay, where you all apparently ditched Leroy, who is vowing bitter, poorly spelled revenge on all of you. The diner guys tried their hands at making noodles--it was almost as messy as we were, here--and then attempted their own Great Wall of China using milk crates, which...well, it's an idea. A terrible idea, but yes. Kathy stopped by to talk to Eliot about how everyone, meaning Dante, was away on the trip and how she was going to get him to take her and Anders to prom because they're all together and--

*sound of Paris' brain kind of breaking*

Huh.

Anyway. Here in China, we woke up right next to the Great Wall of China at this cute little hotel with no televisions. Uma helped out roomie Norman with some pants--seems he heard "Spring Break" and thought "shorts," and Verity and Liam were having problems with their room only having one bed and wow am I not reading further into those notes, you creepy voyeurs. At breakfast, Norman and Tip made plans to buy pants in Beijing today, and Sidon tried to eat the kitchen out of food. Then there were a bunch of people exploring the Great Wall of China because, c'mon people, it's one of the Wonders of the World. You have to see it. Peridot and Mara agreed that it was, indeed, a wall before trying to figure out how Peridot could capitalize on people paying to look at really old stuff in her home dimension. Tip tried to convince me to go down the toboggan thing, and Rey and Mara got really yelled at for attempting to climb the Great Wall. Idiots. Peebee and Jenkins also enjoyed their time up on the Wall. Steve and Jenkins walked all the way to the Wall from the hotel because they are health nuts, emphasis on the nuts.

*chittering*

No, I don't have any nuts for you.

*sulky chittering*

Tough. In the evening, we attempted to cook--Summer was pretty good at it, the rest of us failed, Steve in particular--but it was edible, and Aloy, at least, was pleased with the results. Jenkins finished his day watching a movie, and I soaked the pain of 4,000 steps away in the Jacuzzi.

Okay, that's everything! I'll see you all at Tiananmen Square where I have some questions about what everyday Chinese people think about Xi Jinping declaring himself President for life.

*frantic chittering*

What do you mean, "don't do the thing?" Of course I'm going to--
