Fandom Radio :: Tuesday, October 2nd.

Good evening, fellow Fandomites! I'm afraid I have some bad news. See, I thought Jeff was just being lazy because he's been sleeping all day at work, but, well, it turns out that he's not actually here because he got locked in his closet, according to the notes. So, um, Peter? Could you please...check on him? Make sure he's alive? Thanks. I'd really appriciate that...

So, onto the news. Without Jeff. I know; it won't be the same, but hopefully, you all still love me without him and I won't disappoint.

...Psh. Please. As if I'd ever disappoint. Let's go, Wexler all the way, whooo!

In the School of Cool

Prophecy in Theory and Practice is covering dream interpretation and more sorts of -mancy that I'm not entirely sure how to pronounce. They turn in their homework and several lazy but kindly unnamed people are lazy slackers that ask for extensions. Then they do the -mancy thing. Chris and Andrew the TA's talked to each other. Andrew thinks magic is so totally cool. And, since Jeff isn't here to argue with me, I'd also like to mention that Andrew is not really that weird of a bloke at all. There.

Advance Mad Science talked about time travel, and everyone's interested in the lecture which doesn't make any sense to me, because, hello, it's Fandom. Time travel is just a natural part of the order of things, really. That's like being interested in breathing. Then they travel in tiiiiiiime aaaaaaand spaaaaaaaace, and I just wanted to do that cool voice. Zack and Weird Mask Guy have to save the whales, my Awesome little brother Victor and Johnny McKissyface McHarlotson had to stop their mothers from falling in love with them and I'm SO not touching that one, and Cher and Kabuto have to fix elevators. I think I know who drew the short straw on that activity. Kabuto is TA-ing it up, but no one talks to him.

U.S. Government talk about the AOC and the Constituion, and there's mention of an OTP here, but I've learned not to investigate when the squirrels mention those. There is notetaking and question answering and Lana the TA was super-depressed. Mister Lyman took a stab at the cheering up thing, seems to have succeeded a little, which doesn't surprise me, as he's freaking awesome.

Shop Class hung dry wall, which is almost as exciting as watching paint dry. There was a lecture and hanging and TA-ing.

My notes for 15 Ways to Protect Yourself and Others are all filled with glee cause it's Mister Cable and Mister Deadpool day, apparantly. Psh. Every day should be Mister Cable and Mister Deadpool day. I actually don't know Mister Cable. What gives, Mister Cable? There was a long period of silence because Miss Aly was laaaaaaate, and then they made Molotov cocktails which, if I'm not mistaken, should not be drank.

Just like rum. *ahem*

Anyway, they blew stuff up, as you do in Miss Aly's class, and Zuko did the TA thing, and Sokka had really important question, but, unfortunately, it's a question about the mystery of Mister Deadpool, and, if she told him that, his head would explode because it wouldn't be able to handle it.

The library was mostly quiet for Anemone except for when Robin very nervously asked her to homecoming, but she already has a date! Awww! Robin! I owe you a Squishy and a hug, okay? And, apparently, Anemone's just a popular girl, because Jack asked her, too, but, Jack, you don't get a hug or a Squishy because I don't know you. And you're not a cute frog like Robin. That I know of.

Chef made peeza in the cafeteria, but it doesn't look like many people were hungry.

In club news, the God is Dead, OOPS club, which will hereby be called GIDO, met and they had introductions. There was also an open faculty lounge today, where our lovely faculty signed up for chaperoning the dance, dunk tank duty, and pie tossing. Clearly, those teachers have death wishes. Mister Lyman and Miss Aly were all awwwwkward turrrrtle at each other. Well, actually, I don't like being associated with awkwardness, so the new phrase is going to be awkward platypus.

In her office today, Miss Kerrigan got a visit from Rikku; they fiddles around with Miss Kerrigan's computer for a bit before having an oh-so-cheerful chat about things like fighting and orders and death and stuff. Mister Skywalker got a visit in his office, too, from Jaina, and he's all 'John annoys me, blar blar blar' and Jaina's all 'psh, whatever.' Or something. Aravis stops in, too; there's a little bit of chatting about homecoming, I think. The real popular one was Doctor Wilson, but I don't think it counts, because he asked people to stop by, like Johnny and Wyatt. But I bet Mister Aziraphale probably stopped by on his own volition. That's a cool word. Volition. Mister French-name is the unpopular one that no one likes, but, hey, he got to play chess all day, so I think he wins.

Ooh, yay! Dorms!

So, I guess I missed a lot of stuff this weekend. I was doing a lot of work, so I missed things like Luke hiring hookers; he was explaining his, quote, relationships, end quote, with Z today, and Chris was apologizing to Shawn because he thought Summer was his girlfriend, and how the heck do you mess something up like that? Honestly? Either way, Summer just doesn't want Shawn to hate her, which is understandable, I guess? Why would he hate her? I'm confused. Hoshi is writing an autobiography or something for some reason. Admirable, but isn't it a little early? Wait until you accomplish something big! Anyway, Jack comes in and asks her to homecoming, and she turns him down, something about claustrophobia, and Hoshi, you're a smart girl. That's the best you could come up with? Come on. Weird Mask Guy is plotting his next movie and Naminé shows up to be all cute in apologizing for something that happened, again, over the weekend.

I hate feeling like I missed something...Dawn and Sam are apologizing for stuff, too, but at least it says they're being mature about it? It says Peter of the Parker Variety sought retribution in the form of Jamie's socks, and I have no idea what that means, either, but I bet it's hilarious. Savannah and Johnny McKissyface McHarlotson get into a hissy fit over something she and Wyatt talked about in class, which I'm okay with, because it means I don't have to talk about them kissing more, and, surprise, surprise, Annette slept.

Cassandra is toweling off after a nice shower, and Jack shows up to ask her to homecoming, but she's a bit confused at the concept, although he does even offer to buy her a dress. Just so everyone knows, there are a lot of places to get homecoming dresses this time of year on the island, but you're still guaranteed the best deals at Turtle & Canary! And, previously, I would warn Cassandra that homecoming is just a facilitator of popular high school cliques, but, as Student Council is running it and I am now a member of Student Council, I suppose I can support this homecoming.

Ron is digging on Wendy and Pop Tarts (Ron, I approve!) in the Third Floor Common Room. River stops in and chats with Ron about werewolves, and he shares his Pop Tarts, and then shows her stuff with maaaaaaagic. Billy shows up and Sokka approves of Ron's television tastes.

In the Fourth Floor Common Room, Dean is boggling at the freaks on Court TV. You're telling me. Some of those lawyers aren't even that good; I could run circles around those guys. Isabel suggests chlorine in the gene pool and she and Dean compare weekend note best she offers to use alien powers to contact Alec for him. I'd charge a fee for something like that, Isabel. Great way to make money. Anyway, Lana gives Isabel a wave despite still being mopey about Jim leaving, so Isabel tries to cheer her up by telling her about the weekend, and Wyatt, who apparantly doesn't like Lana, and I'm thinking Isabel got a little lost on the how to cheer people up path, because talking about people who don't like the person you're trying to cheer up just doesn't sound like it would work. But I am weird like that. But then they get talking about Chris and Summer and how they like Lana, so it's all good. Apparently, Wyatt's just a jerkface, but he seemed okay last time I talked to him, which hasn't been in, like, forever, Wyatt, A-HEM.

Anyway, Lana tells Dean that he looks how she feels...ouch, Lana!...and they compare bad weekends and she's content to listen to him babble about his. After I'm sure very detailed evidence Jenny and Dean decide that Dr. Phil couldn't possibly be a troll...He's not ugly enough, but they probably smell better. I actually have no idea how Dr. Phil smells, but he just seems like he would, you know? Meg shows up and talks to Dean about how she'd rather watch those paternity test shows before Dean asks her to Homecoming. She says yes, and, fastforward about a year, and SURPRISE! Meg and Dean are on a paternity test show! And she talks to Isabel about Isabel's once future husband because they get all girly about homecoming, geeeez, and then it jumps to Parent's Weekend and, hey! Meg! I'm from Wisconson! Don't be sending all your parents to muck up my homestate.

Send them to Lake Erie instead.

Adam isn't boggling at Abarangers quite as much tonight in the Fourth Floor Common Room, but Hoshi gets the most out of her boggling experience, refuses to believe that it came from her Japan, and talks about how she turned Jack down. *snort* Faile? Also boggles; Adam tries to explain to her about superheroes. Adam, you should have just sent her to see Mister Deadpool, duh. Hoshi and Faile meet and bond over keeping to themselves. IRONY! Jim walks in and is all happy about some sports thing that has the squirrels all "ohemgee" but I don't care about because it's sports...

Wait. I take that back. If there's money involved, I'll start caring. Place your bets, folks. Faile wonders if Jim is still a vampire....and, Jim, you were never a vampire. That's a terrible pick-up line; I hope Faile didn't fall for it.

*snort* Faile. Fall. Ha. Hoshi recognized Jim's voice from radio...yay! Radio! Represent! Jim claims to actually be Collie, but, silly Jim, you don't have the hair. I guess you could be, like, Yorkshire terrier, or something.

Up on the rooftop, reindeers pause...Actually, no, Ino did, dangling her feet over the edge and reviewing her notes until Cassandra interrupts her and tells her that she should have a rope, it'd be easier that way, but Ino's all, "nuh-uh! I use chakra to walk on walls and crap, take that."

And, in the Lobby today and tomorrow, you can vote for homecoming court and sign up to help with the carnival booths! If you haven't been there, you should! Especially since I'll be manning it tomorrow! And Peter of the English Variety did it today. Billy and Him sign up for the kissing booth....HA!...and Sam, Adam, and Robin all signed up for the dunking booth. Robin, that seems somehow like cheating because you like the water, you crazy plush amphibian. Jack walks by but doesn't do anything. WAY TO NOT BE ACTIVE IN YOUR SCHOOL, JACK.

TOWN! Where Town Stuff Happens!

....Ooooh, I haven't been able to do this in a while but...eee...

IT'S FANDOM MARKET REPORT TIME! CUE THE MUSIC!

...actually, I never did get music for it. So, anyway, at the Photo Hut, Mister Leo continues to fail at employment management because all Jack does is take pictures of himself with fake mustasches. Riiiiiight. And I discover it's a good thing that Jeff isn't here tonight because he's been sleeping on his shift at the Arms Hotel. Thankfully, River comes in to encourage the Devil Dog to howl until Jeff falls off the desk and wakes up, which mean I owe River a Squishy for waking him up, and Jeff a Squishy because I hope he's okay! Well, beyond the whole...passed out in a closet thing...*sigh* Blackheart opens Pixie Dust and it's notable that he's not wearing his coat. It's still too warm for coats, anyway, Blackheart. Also, your name reminds me of a horse. Sorry. Anyway Annette and Beauty are there shopping for homecoming dresses and I'll try not to be too disappointed in you, Annette, for not coming to Turtle & Canary. But maybe you can get some accessories there? We have nice shoes, too... Ino starts working at Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, Liz is at the ever-boring Post Office, and Mister Yitzhak wastes his time in front of the computer looking at gossip blogs at Luke's Diner. Who'd waste their time on something purely devoted to gossip, honestly?

...That's irony right there, by the way. Or something. Chad listens to MUZAK at Groovy Tunes and the super-awesome Charlie come in to chat about the weekend. What the heck did I miss this weekend, seriously? it's all anyone's talking about...And the squirrel here realizes how industrious and thoughtful I am while I'm working at Turtle & Canary, which has great deals on all your homecoming needs! Xander-my-name-is-cool-'cause-it-has-an-X (and I've missed saying that name now that the school is finished!) was busy at his laptop, too, at the Mauvaise Chance Apartments Office and Dawn stops by with hot chocolate, which is very awesome of her. Mel stopped by with coffee for him. Dawn wins. Hot chocolate, so much better than gross nasty coffee. Unless Mel was there for business, in which case...it had to be coffee, woe. Adam is probably working (hey, Adam, man, that's just what the note says!) at the Wonders of the World. It's a good think he probably was, because Mister Leo stopped in to play him some golf. Mister Manager George Michael is manning the Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand as usual, and River wants to know why the bananas are frozen, and then proceeds to confuse the crap out of him and refuses his 'special offers.' Ummm.... and then Mister Giles is working at the Magic Box and Xander-my-name-is-cool-'cause=it-has-an-X and look I got to say it again! stops in with doughnuts. Naminé's got things under control at Cafe Fina and Cassandra stops in to get some tea and chat with Naminé about waking up with Weird Mask Guy. Which just makes me wonder...does he sleep in that mask then? Really? At the Atlas Gym, Doctor Wilson gets beat up by a punching bag (hey, those punching bags are vicious!) and Doctor Keyworth offers the other doctor some help, and Sheriff Mustang is shadowboxing, until Mister Deadpool, yay! shows up and probably kicked his butt in a spar. Yes, I could finish reading the notes and find out what really happened, but, come on. It's Mister Deadpool. I see they talked about capitalism while they sparred, though! Ooh! Yay! And you people wonder why he's the coolest ever, tsk. And, at Chilly Boulder, Isabel and Johnny McKissyFace McHarlotson get ice cream; she tells him she's going to homecoming alone (GO ISABEL! I support that!) and how he shouldn't rile up Chris. Or kiss him. Actually, I don't know if Isabel said that; that's straight from Turtle right there.

Dick is manning the bar at Caritas and no one's told Robin that sad songs and waltzes aren't selling this year. Some guy named Dalton, who I guess is the new bouncer (and probably about fifty million times better at it than Chad; no, Chad, I'm never letting that die) debates with Dick about the law. Around here, we are above the law. The drinking law, anyway. Annette kicks off her heels after her day of not shopping at Turtle & Canary and talks with her boooooooooyfriend. Mister Aziraphale's the bartender at the Devil's Nest tonight, where we are NOT above the drinking law, and Mister Leo is there, but I think he actually knows he's there this time. Mister Lyman is there talking to Mister Deadpool, which is just too much awesome to exist, so I bet that somewhere, a planet blew up under the combined force of their awesomeness. But I guess Mister Lyman was in a bad mood? Mister Aziraphale got him his drink, and Mister Leo just gets a nod. Mister Deadpool, who was in a great mood, got drinks for evvverrrrryone, because he's awesome, duh, like I've been telling you, and Doctor Wilson took full advantage of Mister Deadpool's generousity. Hey, while you're in a generous mood, Mister Deadpool, how about that pony?

And, on this great station, Robin of the Not Amphibious or Bird Variety had her radio show. Sokka requested a song, while Doctor Johnny Fever! (yes, you have to say it with an exclamation mark) snuck up on her.

*long pause*

Okay, it looks like no one's sneaking up on me right now, which is good, because then they'd be limping. Mister Leo got lost. Oh, Mister Leo, you crazy hippie.

Mary's having one of those boring grown-up parties again, and Jeff's not here right now, so I'll say something about breasts right now to make up for it.

*pause*

What? Saying that I'll say something about breasts still counts as saying something about breasts. Anyway, Mister Manager, Mister Gabriel, Mister GOB, Mister Leo, and Miss Stayton all get boozed up, and Mister Taylor offers Mister Leo some of his sausa--

UGH! I can't believe I almost read that! Anyway, in less squicky territory, Doctor Keyworth is sipping his drink on the balcony. George Michael and Miss Stayton are there, too and she gives him money to--

Hey! This was supposed to be non-squicky! Mary! No more parties on Tuesday! Mister Gabriel talks to the hostess who needs to change her party day about church services, and George Michael talks to her about how Mister GOB is a creep, about George Michael's big banana, and how he is a manwhore, which means I now must consider my partnership with the banana stand. GREAT. See what your parties are doing to the economy on the island, Mary? Mister Leo compliments Mary's look and she talks about all the business she'll be getting because of the upcoming events. Oh, sure, Mary. Think only about your own business. Mister GOB weasels a date out of Mary, and I'm shaking my head, here, Mary, just so you know. She does clarify, though, that she is a party girl, not a stripper. Which you can tell just by her name, because if she was a stripper, it would be spelt with an 'i.' Miss Stayton is all hoity-toity about Mary's fashion sense.

Miss Kerrigan took a leave from the island, which seems a good idea after all that. Oi. And Mary took Mister GOB back to her room. I'm sure he was classy as usual. I can't even think about this anymore, it's just that wrong. Mary. I'm shaking my head more. You can't hear it, but it's there.

Doctor Troy has the clinic's day shift and Wyatt, Isabel's once betrothed, has the evening shift. Doctor Keyworth is there during the day, too. Ronan showed up during Wyatt's shift to chat him up and ask him to homecoming. In the true spirit of the entire day, Wyatt turned him down. Maybe there was just something in the water today?

That's it for me tonight. I'd just like to say, for the record, that, while the broadcast was much more in the serious spirit of radio that I do like to encapsulate, I miss Jeff. I think I might go camp outside of his room until I know he's okay in that closet. Or maybe if Peter's still listening to this, he'll be nice and let me in.

G'nite, and have a prosperous day, Fandom!

"Nobody is getting me pregnant!" Meg shouted at the radio. She'll leave that to canon thankyouverymuch

"Hi, Turtle," Wyatt said absently to the radio. "And I am not a jerkface."

Then he facepalmed at the mention of Ronan in the clinic.

Charlie was laughing a lot. As usual.

"Hi Turtle!"

Jim frowned at the radio.

"She spoiled two jokes," he said in shock. Fortunately the vampire thing didn't require anyone actually believing it, and the 'I'm Pam' thing was a one-time gag, but still. What next, she's going to tell people he's not a cyborg? Or that he was the one who tried to drive Professor Stinson insane?

He needed to figure out a way to get back at Turtle on Thursday when he was broadcasting.
