WTFH, Saturday
Look, I'm really very happy to see you all again - hello! - but I just got here! You've left my luggage on the street; what if it gets stolen or walks off on its own?
*chittering*
I really shouldn't, you know. Station Management was - oh, dear, you've started already.
Good morning, Fandom. Cecil Palmer here, being kidnapped by squirrels on my first day back. I feel a bit more at home already.
But now, the news.
In , Fun with Magic had fun with magic. And were graded on how much fun with magic they had. Pretty straightforward, really. I hope you all had fun with that magic!
So You Just Met Your Relative From the Future - that's a class? That sounds very useful! Ben told everyone the story of how his father who grew up on a desert world somewhere eventually met his twin sister who grew up somewhere else, but didn't know she was his twin, until Fandom got all weird one day, and how well do you know your family? Well, I'm pretty sure I don't have any twins lurking anywhere. Hopefully nobody else does, either.
Then, in Supervillainy and You, Fred told the class about this one time when he was a superhero, then made everyone in the class a superhero and had them save a fake baby from a fake burning building in the not-fake Danger Shop.
And in the library, Lucille - gosh, there's so many people I don't know now! Please be safe in the library, Lucille - was looking for young adult romance novels, which made some of the other books giggle at her. Which is just really rude! Not as bad as a librarian, maybe, but there's no excuse at all for kink-shaming like that.
In more personal news - all the good stuff that it's important to know about the people in your community - Tony Stark was hard at work and hard up for sleep and didn't notice anything was up. Was something up?
*chittering*
Oh! One of those days. Tamsin came by with alcohol, which is always the best plan when you're seeing things you shouldn't, or I guess in this case are worried you'll say or hear things you shouldn't. But instead of making things safer, it just led to being honest and Tony getting all philosophical about the nature of truth, and hugs. And...possibly more, but I'm not sure if the squirrels mean "deep truths" as a metaphor or not.
After that, Steve stopped by and told Tony about a mission he just got back from. He realized there was something weird going on, so Tony told him what it was, and then they complained about it. Which is the second most sensible thing, after the drinking, really.
Meanwhile, at the house of Doctor Lecter - whose food is to die for - he spent some time making new wedding plans...oo, a wedding! Congratulations! And then Kanan dropped by for coffee, and they talked a bit about Earth foods, and Kanan's job on a moon, and Jedi.
And in town, the whole island jumped in space - neat! - to land somewhere nice and quiet, which I guess is where we're at right now, and there's plenty of room for screaming into the void! And plenty of void.
At Groovy Tunes, the stereo was just playing depressing music, so Dante put his headphones in and listened to his own instead. Isabela stopped in to try to flirt and talk him into sex, but instead she was really direct about the whole thing, and he was really direct, too, so they decided to just have sex in an alley so they could stop talking. Well, that works, I suppose. As long as you're not chatty while you're doing things.
Later on, Roscoe came by wanting a hookup - there are some busy folks here these days! - but what with all the truth-telling and everything, it got pretty awkward, so instead they complained about the truth thing, and Roscoe asked about Anders.
Over at Stark Industries, Peridot was telling stories at work, getting really detailed about from her past, which I think sounds really nifty, but apparently made the customers leave pretty quickly and gave her time to work on personal projects. Which I guess is one way of doing it.
And lastly, in the park, Eliot - is he still here? ugh - had figured out what was happening and was spending time with his dog someplace he could leave fast if he needed to. Only apparently he still hasn't. Kanan was annoyed to find someone there he'd have to tell the truth to, but they ended up talking about pets and upcoming classes anyway, before mentioning their dark pasts. Like that time he killed me and didn't even introduce himself? Did that come up?
*chittering*
No. I think I'm allowed to still be annoyed about that. But that's okay, I can let it pass for now. I need to go and find my luggage before it wanders off. And find somewhere to stay, too.
*chittering*
Oh, that's very sweet! I think I'm a little too big, but I appreciate the thought. Fandom, I'm a bit portal-lagged and all, but I hope I'll be able to see you all again soon, and until then, I will leave you with the weather.
