Fandom Radio, Saturday Morning
Thorin: Ah, so this is where you have gone in the morning.
Blue: Yes. While you were mining. Allegedly.
Thorin: Allegedly?
Blue Despite the condition of our room, I’m not entirely convinced it’s not a euphemism.
Thorin: *horrified sputtering* I have told you, that was forced upon me by a classmate!
Blue: Uh-huh. Sure. Look, let’s just read the notes. Like at the school, where Don't be Stupid class met in the Danger Shop to cook. Ringo found out Cassandra was supposed to be making spaghetti, so she helped her with that. Philosophy of Loss was about judgment after death, and Kaylin told the teacher she didn't think she would go anywhere good. This sounds like such a happy class. Kathy asked about the TA position. And Professor Rand was subbing in Teamwork and Tactics again, so they played volleyball.
Thorin: In the dormitory, Cassandra was caring for her armor and reading poetry.
There also appeared to have been festivities on the roof where people mingled. As is common in most places. Ringo and Kathy debated the success of their party planning, garments shopping, and lock-picking. Yes, I did notice the ineffectiveness of the man-made locks here. Kathy was also 'glomped' by Alluka. I am unfamiliar with this word.
Blue: Yeah, I don’t know it, either. It sounds uncomfortable. Maybe it’s a squirrel thing.
Thorin: Ah. I will keep that in mind for the future. Ezra wore a suit and impressed Ringo with his choice in clothing. Alluka was also pleased to see him, though the topic of conversation ran more toward the food provided. Ada grew concerned that she had not dressed appropriately for the event, though Ezra assured her otherwise. As did Alluka who was fond of Ada's choice in hats and the--*sigh*--glitter. Ringo complimented Ada on her raiment before discussing what they had done since seeing each other last. Anders found the decorations pleasing and was informed by Ringo that it was good that he did not choose a dress as he would look better than her in one. I suppose? Is Anders not courting Nathan? I fear I will never understand this flirting. Alluka also believed Anders was dressed nicely and informed him that there was no true reason for the party. Xanthippe arrived and was also complimented on her dress by Ringo. Jasper also met her there, claiming it would be difficult to 'stand him up' as there were few students at this school. Mabel arrived with a bedazzled shirt--what is a bedazzled shirt?
Blue: It has rhinestones on it. Like that green one of mine I cut half of into fringe.
Thorin: Oh. That--and informed Ringo that she brought something called karaoke tapes. Alluka was also impressed by the 'bedazzling' of the shirt. Upon Jasper's arrival, Ringo greeted him as warmly as her other guests with talk of how the weather would turn on them in later days. There was chocolate where Alluka and Ringo discussed family.
After the party, Anders made his way to Nathan's room to soothe his distress over the day.
Blue: In town, Maria brought CDs to Groovy Tunes--which is a music store...oh, for the sound system! But it still didn't cooperate. Seriously, earplugs. Jasper brought their droid baby to visit and they decided to name it Stereo. That's fair. Some people are named Blue. And at The Devil's Nest, Allie wasn't allowing Tiny around the customers. And that is all of the notes. Come on, Thorin, you can go mine things now.
Thorin: How else do you expect me to find the right materials for my crafts?
Blue: Amazon?
Thorin: And just where might that be?
Blue: The internet. Inside the computers.
Thorin: … I will assume you are telling the truth as I cannot prove otherwise.
Blue: *heavy sigh* Come on, I’ll show you. You’re gonna love Etsy.
Thorin: Thank you for your time, those who have listened in on this 'radio broadcast'.
Blue: See you next week! Don’t forget to bribe your squirrels!
Blue: Yes. While you were mining. Allegedly.
