...I have a whole bunch of squirrels here sobbing into their rum about how they didn't get owls delivering their mail, so if anyone knows what they are talking about, let me know, okay? And if you know how to get squirrel snot out of a pair of pants, that's apparently going to be something I'm going to need too. Ew. Anyway, this is Mara Jade and it looks like we all survived our first day of classes in one piece, so let's keep that trend going, all right?
In classes, Professors Lecter and Starsmore introduced their students to Creative Inspirations by going to a beach in Brazil. There were also introductions, but since I'm the first person to report on them this week, it's still new and interesting. After Professor Lecter pointed a ray out to Maria, everyone regrouped to discuss what they had been inspired to create. Maria wanted to know where Professor Starsmore had gotten his guitar. In Deception for Fun and Profit--I have no idea how I ended up in this class--we did introductions by lying to the teacher, which was just incredibly uncomfortable for me, y'know? Health got a general overview of their course, did introductions, and then had to pick out first aid kits and explain why they chose the supplies that they did. I'd pick bacta. Lots and lots of bacta. Drama was told they will be working on an improv project during the semester. Raven teased Kathy about already planning her improv, and was invited to visit the onsen. I'm guessing I'll find out--
*chittering*
Oh, good, I'll figure out what it is later. The students also had to sell fake information in this class' introductions, and I'm really worried about this school's flexible arrangement with the truth.
In the dorms, Eric was baking brownies in the sixth floor kitchen while working on his vlog. I hope I pronounced that correctly. Ringo was thrilled to see the brownies because she can't cook at all. Tali and Eric recognized each other from their teamwork class with Professor Washington. Ezra was reading a gossip magazine in his room until Dante stopped by to get flirted with. It's Ezra, that happens.
Finally in town, I learn what an onsen is! It's a hot tub thing. Ooooh. Raven also had no idea it existed, so now I don't feel so bad, and Ringo said that they're common, but maybe only where she's from. Ringo and Kathy then caught up on classes. It was only Monday--how many classes did you have?
Jack was busy at the Devil's Nest serving up glitter rum--sounds gross--and Merrill, Cassandra, Isabela, and Anders were all ready to try some until they learned that the Devil's Nest is very serious about the drinking age, which is really, really old on this planet. Like 20 or something. They got to hear about Isabela's love life already and she's been here like three seconds. How is that fair?
Ugh, now I'm in a bad mood and covered in squirrel snot. Tuesday's off to a rocky start. Hope everyone else is doing better! See you around.
