Cosette: Good morning again, everyone. I hope those affected are recovering well enough from the weekend.
Éponine: It was certainly something, wasn't it? Right on the heels of those kids showing up --
Cosette: -- yes, and we've final examinations this week, and then graduation's coming up soon too.
Éponine: Have you all even got time to breathe with all that? Good lord.
Cosette: I hesitate to say, at risk of tempting fate. I'll just talk about what we're doing for finals, why don't I? Like blowing things up in Science and Technology, and written tests in Adulting. Mis-Intelligence was assigned to come up with an idea for a book or television show or perhaps a movie about spies, and then tell the rest of the class about it. And in Baking, well, we baked.
Éponine: There's a surprise.
Cosette: Monsieur Lecter noticed that I didn't do too well, but I think he understood that I was a bit distracted. He did, however, try to convince Sparkle to stay on for the summer, though it seems Sparkle wasn't having any of that.
Éponine: Then there was Atton in his office, listening to music until Bob came along so they could complain at one another. Listen, the two of you, the squirrels feel very strongly that both of you need more joy in your lives, though I can't give you any advice there. Kathy and Anders were in the preserve so Kathy could practice dodging the magic Anders was tossing at her, and that's one way to amuse oneself, isn't it?
Cosette: I should have liked to have seen that, I think. Nathan was in his room reading, and rather drained after the weekend, so it's nice that Anders came to look in on him and ask about how Nathan's visit from his mother went.
Éponine: Stiles was at the mansion, eating donuts, which is one way to cope with this sort of weekend, and was there for Derek's sake even if he ought to have been at school.
Cosette: That's a perfectly good reason to miss classes, I think. Meanwhile --
*rustling papers*
Éponine: What in the name of --
*more rustling papers*
Cosette: I haven't any idea, but something big was rampaging around the freezer at Luke's, even if Eliot was determined to ignore it and have a normal week. Parker popped up out of nowhere, as she tends to do, so they could plan what to do for their class final today. There was talk of crocodiles and obstacle courses and airships, if that's any help to anyone in the class. And Hardison wanted to know what was the matter with the freezer, and why the staff was holding spears, before he and Parker and Eliot had a more serious conversation about the three of them.
Éponine: I'd like to know about the spears myself, actually, if only so I know whether to be careful when I'm around there.
Cosette: I think you only ought to be concerned if the freezer's open.
Éponine: Well, that's the last of our notes for the day, so isn't it time for you to wish everyone a nice day?
Cosette: I don't see why you can't do it -- in fact, one might say you just did.
Éponine: Well! You are a clever one, aren't you?
Cosette: I have to be, if I'm to keep up with you. Until next week, everyone, and best of luck with the rest of your exams!
