Cosette: Hello, everyone! The trip was lovely, and even though it's not half as warm here I am glad to be back.
Éponine: Yes, welcome back to being cold with the rest of us.
Cosette: I am sorry to have left you to read the news by yourself the last two weeks. But I brought you back a few things from Mexico, so surely that ought to make up for at least some of it?
Éponine: Did you really, now! That's all right, then. You know, last week I was saying to myself, 'I ought to make her do the entire show by herself next time, it's only fair really,' only I think I said so out loud too, but it doesn't matter. I won't make you do that.
Cosette: I wouldn't have minded if you had.
Éponine: Serves me right for being nice, then. How d'you like that?
Cosette: Quite well, actually, thank you. We were back to classes this week and I'm glad about that, even if the week off was nice. I think Monsieur Lecter enjoyed the trip too, since Baking was about empanadas -- I don't think I'm quite saying that right -- yesterday. And of course, we got to make our own, if we could choose a recipe, that is. There are so many different kinds. And then, in Adulting, we learned about IKEA furniture. I would say we learned how to put it together, too, but I'm reasonably certain it's someone's idea of a joke. It's entirely unreasonable to expect us to figure out how to build a bed from nothing but a bunch of funny-looking pictures.
Éponine: But I'd bet it was funny to watch you all try.
Cosette: You would think so. Mis-Intelligence watched the Agent M finale in class, and in Science and Technology we learned about how touchscreens, like the ones on phones, work. It's nice to have an idea about that now. I was half convinced it was magic.
Éponine: I think it would have suited me just fine to keep thinking it was, but now I'm curious.
Cosette: If you like, I can let you see my notes from class.
Éponine: Yes, later, of course. Cassandra was at the salle, hacking at the practice dummies as if they deserved it, which they very well could've. One can't rule that sort of thing out here. Jalian was interested in Cassandra's armor, which, turns out, is actually easy to move in, and wanted to spar with Cassandra so's she could learn a few new tricks. Rapunzel was in her room reading once it got tiresome staring out the window until Elsa came by with Anna, who's sick, and Rapunzel helped see to her. Anders wasn't so excited about having to go to classes today even if Rapunzel didn't think hers were so bad yesterday. They both thought it would be awful to have to go to a class where things attacked them every week. I think that'd be awful, too.
Cosette: I can't say I would be thrilled about it either. Seems like there's a new gentleman who arrived in town today, and opened up a shop called Needful Things.
Éponine: That was quick enough. Doesn't miss a step, that one, I'd guess. Over at Luke's, things seemed to be back to normal, and that was enough to make Eliot suspicious. Can't say I blame him. It was quiet over at Cafe Fina too, where Hatter was back from the trip in quite the good mood, but bored by his staff because they were being too quiet.
Cosette: It wasn't so quiet at Groovy Tunes, though, where Jono had some loud music playing while he worked.
Éponine: Quieter at the Devil's Nest, though, since Monsieur Jack was watching himself a whole lot of television at work. That's all right, that's what Tiny's there for, isn't that right? And I was busy bothering Kitty at the Perk, because I was awfully bored without you lot around last week.
Cosette: It's a good thing that you've no reason to be bored any more, then.
Éponine: For now, anyhow. We'll see. All right, that's all we've got, so we'll be back next week.
