Fandom Radio- Saturday, January 31
Morning, everybody. This is Kitty Pryde filling in on a Saturday, which means I'm tired but have hopefully enough coffee to get me through. Let's do this thing.
In school news, Powers and Identity talked about expectations and self-image, The Living City had a movie day, Business Sense talked about making your business look good, and How Not to Die prepped for the snowball fight by making and attacking forts. Not gonna lie, I would not mind being able to take that class.
All my dorms notes are about how the students got dragged out of bed at what looks to be sucks o'clock in the morning for a fire drill. Cassandra was apparently startled enough to come out with a knife, which had Hanna wondering if they were being attacked, and Jalian guessed that it's her first fire drill. Edward and Isabelle declared this stupid, and Elsa and Jalian were tired but at least Elsa's puppy was having fun. Sparkle was a genius and went into town to get tea and blankets to bring back, and he explained fire drills to Jalian and offered Hanna a blanket when she fell asleep standing up. Mara offered Face a scarf, and there was talk of a Hoth, whatever that is, and Hanna said hi and realized she should have brought boots. Flick and Isabelle cuddled for warmth, Anders and Nathan considered sleeping in the preserve, and Kathy and Travis talked about sleeping in trees. Okay, waiting half an hour till you can go to bed sounds way less uncomfortable than braving the elements in January in Maryland.
Carmilla was fine and awake, though Kira came to complain at her about not being in bed, and Amy wondered why Carmilla was n a good mood. Turns out: hot girls in pajamas. I mean, when fire drills give you lemons-
*CHITTERING*
*audible facepalm*
Oh my god, I think I just got "that's what she said"ed by a squirrel. DIDN'T MEAN IT THAT WAY MOVING ON. Hanna told Carmilla she's gonna stay inside next time to fight the fire- I mean, you wouldn't have to worry about the cold...- and Carmilla educated her on things like glitter causing boykissy. Which is not a thing I've ever seen happen, if anyone was wondering. Anders got a little flame going which he shared with Kathy, Vider explained fire drills to Mara, who thought it was practice for the snowball fight, and Kathy and Kira cuddled for warmth and wondered how the fire trucks would even get up the stairs.
*long span of chittering*
And there's your explanation.
Four came out shirtless, so Vider asked him about his tattoos, and Kathy offered him a blanket, which got glares from Vider, but Four didn't want it anyway. Amy and Raven wondered what caused the drill, and Hanna worried they were under attack, and basically if it's anything like the four seconds I spent in a college dorm, it's because someone somewhere decided it'd be funny.*meta*
And then in town, most of the notes are because Hannibal was trying to have a small party at his house for his birthday- happy birthday!- but Jono came over and told him he'd set something else up at the bowling alley. I know when I think "Hannibal" I think "beer and bowling shoes." But they went anyway, and people showed up, and Jono got Hannibal to play pool by setting up a bet. Kenzi wished Hannibal happy birthday via chocolates, and Pinkie brought balloons and then Jono told her it was Hannibal's birthday so I'm pretty sure she just went because it's a party and that's kind of great. Pinkie also checked Kenzi with a stethoscope to make sure a balloon infusion was necessary before giving her any. My god, I love that pony. Bob told Jono she's one of the strangest things he's seen here so far but I don't see why that has to be a bad thing. She got him a ghost balloon, so.
The non-student Raven teased Jono about the party, and also suggested a threesome with the birthday boy, and that's a thing I really just had to read on the airwaves. MOVING ON AGAIN. In less 'I don't need to know that' news, Raven also asked Pinkie about children's parties so she can help cheer up orphans. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. Rinoa has a cold but showed up anyway, and tried to tell Squall she wouldn't wear the shoes. I think the shoes are better than street shoes for not slipping down the lanes. Put 'em on, take some ironic pictures for Instagram, you're good. Rinoa also told Jono she only came because Squall made her, and Pinkie gave her a balloon to get her out of that mood. Pinkie also wished happy birthday to Hannibal with a party horn and fez. Also there was bowling and presents and food, which got all the side eye from Hannibal, and Jono wasn't sure where the cake came from either. Never look free birthday cake in the mouth. Just put it in your mouth.
*CHITTERING*
Okay, that's really stretching, as "that's what she said"s go, guys. And then Allie was on her phone at the Devil's Nest and I came to say hi and talk movies and my living arrangements. eeeeee
That's all I've got. Happy Saturday, have fun snowballing, I'm getting more coffee.
