Fandom Radio, Tuesday, August 13th
Listeners, Cecil here. You'll want to turn up your radios today, because this is as loud as I'm getting. I would like to begin by offering a personal apology to any of you I might have tried to entice into the carnival this weekend. Unless one of you was Eliot. And I'd like to thank all those who got us free again - or at least as free as any of us are, under constant government surveillance and the demands of our own bodies. Particularly Korra and that really adorable pet of hers! Um. Not as cute as Foucault, of course. But really cute.
But again, there's no sense rehashing the past.
*chittering*
Ow. Keep it down, okay?
*softer but more insistent chittering*
Right...except for yesterday, of course.
In , Hacking 101 got a sort of interactive movie day, since Riley spent most of the weekend in the library. Which is to say that after the lecture they played computer games. The TA, Karolina, played them, too, and Riley was there to talk to.
Dance got a more traditional movie day, with the Danger Shop set up as a fancy movie theater formeta for Dirty Dancing. Or they could talk to Kitty.
Fun in the Sun bucked the movie trend and went to Bermuda, the spoilsports, where Bond gave a really short lecture and then they had to try to figure out how to have fun on Horseshoe Beach in Bermuda. The squirrels say this was really challenging, so I hope everybody passed? It looks like there was volleyball and climbing and sunbathing, anyway. They could always ask Bond if they had questions.
In the dorms, Nathan checked the burns he got this weekend and sat on his bed. Bed sounds really good right now. Edward stopped by and Nathan told him about being a juggler at the carnival, and then they talked a bit about his past, his tattoos, and his father. No word on if those are related.
Kaidan was at home finishing up a call on his omni-tool, after which he went to the kitchen to get a drink. Which sounds both really great and really awful right now.
Joker got back from a weekend away and listened to the radio on his way back from the causeway, and…
*chittering*
Yes, I think "oops" is pretty accurate.
At Cafe Fina, Hatter made all the specials margaritas, which surprised Dr. Lecter - whose food is to die for, and sorry about your liquor cabinet - and they talked about the weekend.
At the beach, Cosette was sitting and thinking, and at the Devil's Nest, there was…what?
*chittering*
Are you sure? Why would he do such an appalling thing?
*chittering*
Listeners, I don't even know why and I'm not sure I want to, but Jack was snacking on cotton candy from a huge machine. Kaidan stopped by and said no to the cotton candy, which any sane or even healthily insane person would do after this weekend, and also explained that he has to go home.
And at Caritas, Kenzi, who is the best ex-wife ever, hi Kenzi! had a special on serious booze and Jell-o shots. Which really I think we all needed after this weekend, which was totally awful. Maybe not quite as awful as being shot to death, but also worse in some ways. Let's just try not ever doing it again, okay? Meanwhile, say nothing and drink to forget. However much it takes. When you do, I'll see you there. And until you do, I'll leave you with the weather.
