Fandom Radio, Saturday 8/9
Good morning, Fandom! I'm Alex, Loki is...I dunno, not here. Maybe at the carnival. Maybe on tumblr. Whatever, we don't need him, we have notes! And let's get started with the doings at the school.
This week's sport in Sports was basketball. First the teacher explained the game, and then they could play one-on-one. If they had any questions about where the ball was supposed to go or whatever, they could ask the teacher. Seven Habits of Whatever was...I don't know, I think one of the teachers was speaking in tongues and then they fought and then we had to do three-legged races. So, you know. The usual. You could also talk to the teachers, if you were nuts or something. Philosophy of Food had a field trip to Baltimore, and they could talk to Professor Lecter before distributing produce. There was a gnome invasion in the library, which the librarian was ignoring in his office. Probably for the best. Rapunzel came in to do research, and then some more people--is there a project due I forgot about?

Oh, right. Creepy carnival. More on that coming up. Anyway, Rapunzel thought she found something, but Professor Lecter was more concerned with her head wound.
No notes from the dorms, so let's move on to town! Stiles was holding down the fort at the Trooper Station, where Irene came in to introduce herself and encourage him to shop for sex toys with Derek. I am not making this one up. Roland was across from the carnival, playing uplifting music, which, as the god of fear I should probably want you to knock that off, but as a resident of this island...keep up the good work, man, because the carnival that appears out of nowhere is in town and it's giving people bad feelings. Not that that stopped people from going to the carnival, mind you. Raven and Jono agreed to investigate and meet up in an hour, while Cecil and Blonde Raven missed the vibes and were more about, "Yay carnival! Let's ride the carousel!" Sparkle threw a peanut at Karina and offered to take her on the ferris wheel, and Professor Pie and Mr. Hatter ate a ton of cotton candy at the concessions. As I mentioned, there was a carousel, which Blonde Raven and Cecil rode and now she's tiny and he's old, so that's great. There's also a mirror maze that showed Jono and Nathan horrible stuff, and in the shooting gallery Eliot had to beat up a wooden tiger.
There was also a Fortune Teller, who told Raven she's going to enslave her friends and Celia she's gonna kill somebody over a contest, so Zeus knows what she told Minako. And of course there's a ferris wheel, which Four wisely noped out of. It tried to throw Rapunzel off but she managed to use her hair to climb down, but Cade and Flick had no such luck when the ride threw them to their doom, and Karina and Sparkle wondered if it was up to code before getting on anyway, and there's no easy way to say this: they're also dead. Curiously the knife thrower does not appear to have racked up a casualty rate, unless Surreal took him up on his offer to be his lovely assistant or something happened to Clint in the audience. Oh, and there were picnic tables, but they were abandoned, so they're either the worst of all or the only harmless thing in the place. And some people were just wandering around. Prior to his, you know, death, Cade asked Sia if this seemed creepy to her, and was like, "Whatever, something to do!" which is really sad now. Bo went into the Temple of Temptation and was persuaded to join the dancers, and Felicity was quite sensibly wandering around not touching anything.
In non-carnival news, Professor Lecter had a visit from Raven all freaked out about what the fortune teller told her, and at The Devil's Nest Tiny was tending bar because Allie was a bat.
So basically the takeaway here is that we lost four students yesterday to a ferris wheel. I'm calling it, the carnival is evil. Everybody stay safe out there, by which I mean stay off the ferris wheel.
