Fandom Radio :: June 20.
Arrrg, ye fellow Fandomite maties. This be 'Terrible' Turtle Wexler, putting the pirate back in 'Pirate Radio' tonight, yar, by the brilliant suggestion of Jim 'Hapless' Halpert, clown-shoe-wearin' land lubber that he be. This one's for you, Mister Barbossa, arrrrr.
B'fore we be gettin' to the news o' the day, I'll be needin' to be givin' ye me usual stocks update. In stocks today, we got a dirty criminal who be prone to be lookin' up the ladies' skirts an' one of those buggers that tries to sneak candy into the movie theater an' be gettin' caught. Har har.
Ye School o' Scalliwags!
The landlubbers at the office be gettin' their feet wet a bit and the Chef be gettin' a wee bit overexcited about Peeza in the galley. Yarrrr, I always be missin' peeza. Chad didn't, though. Chad, ye should be bringin' me peeza. Ye fail as a bouncer; mebbe yer lot in life is peeza delivery boy?
The Super Happy Bel-Phoebe-Anders who be Cuter than Marco Snuggle Time Show be airin' today, an' I hear thar mighta even been some construction goin' on thar, too. Conner be constructin' sawdust and Bel be handlin' wood...an' why do I feel icky for sayin' that? Bridge be supplin' a crap loada' disgustin' coffee beverages for Xan-my name is cool 'cause it be havin' an X-der an' Anders be supplin' a crap loada' cuteness fer Bel. An' Bel and Conner get back ta work. Also? An' this really be news: No one ogled today! Turtle gets to be keepin' her lunch! ARRR!
As I be bein' a pirate today, I feel inclined to be not talkin' about Ninja-ing class today. Not very ninja-like that I can be reportin' on you all makin' plans an' updatin' your arsenals with sponge weapons to be thrown at each other. And since it not be jus' about Ninja-ing, I guess I can be mentioning Sokka talkin' to Mister Yondaime about the field trip this weekend.
Then, in How to be Annoyin' Yer Teachers (An'Not Be Turnin' into Animals, unless you ARE Animal, in which case, never be mindin), they be payin' tribute to Jamie Madrox with sock puppets. Before they be doin' that, though, they be reportin' on annoyin' Mister Hades. Evie's sockpuppet be speakin' French. Sokka be not. An' everyone be be havin' a blast with their hands up a poppet's....bum. Karal apologized for not bein' in class last week, the scalliwaggin' slacker, and Dick explained that he be needin' to skip next week fer a weddin'. The former did not use his sock puppet. The latter did. The latter wins.
ARGG-IE, MATEY.
*ahem* Pardon the break in character here but, well...this...is....
SPAAAARTAAAAAAAA! *ahem* Actually, no, YAR, it be History in Action with the Battle o' Thermopolufugus and Ms. Roslin's boyfriend. Chad, Evie, and Ms. Roslin have a discussion on why the battle be important. Hey. Chad. Know how those Spartans kept all those Persians out of a little passage way? Like bouncers? I hope you paid attention! Those guys knew how to do it right. Anyhoo, Evie be full of the talky as she asked about the 700 Lesbians, and I be thinkin' Evie went to the wrong movie. Robin be duckin' from the violence and learnin' about how you can be winnin' an' losin' at the same time. Anders who be Cuter than Marco be lookin' for a yo-yo in the Danger Shop an' be meetin' up with Mister Adama instead, who's Lee's father, an' I not be knowin' who Lee is so I be wonderin' why I care, and Robin talked to Ms. Roslin about missin' last week. Everyone's missin' crap all over the board, aren't they? Tsk. Where be your sense of duty, mateys?
Women and Gender Studies be makin' portraits of their inner selves. Mine be green, like money, yar! Of course thar be glitter. Mac and Sam be discussin' bright colours and sad Macs. I be feelin' there's a joke about Mac'n'cheese here...
...ain't no joke about Interdisciplinary Studies or Whatever today, as they be learnin' survival skills an' huntin' an' gatherin' and should these scalliwags be marooned, they be all set. Mister Squall approves. An' it looks like....Setsuna explains that, uhh...Ami be kidnapped an' she's gonna go rescue her. Good luck? Kidnapped? Really? Eeeeeep. I hope you do save her, Setsuna. If not, um, yeah, that's...yeah. I'm gonna move onto dorms now. And get back in character.
*AHEM*
YAAAAARG.
The Crew's Cabins, Y'aaaarrr, aka Dorms
Thar will be bein' a Fun Run for Teal Deer on Friday, although, if you be askin' me, yarr, ain't no such thing as a fun run, unless it be a run for ice cream, in which I be all for it. However, me piraty heart be charitable, so I'll probably be participatin'. I be likin' to share me booty, an' I be meanin' that in a completely un-dirty way, ye scalliwags.
In the Fourth Floor Common Room, Karal be studyin' a fathom's worth o' notes while his cat be on the TV. Probably 'cause it be warrrm. Jaina be pillagin' the coffee, which be vile but important, and Charlie be askin' about 'er stallward crew. Karal's cat be sniggerin' at Jaina's claim o' conquest, but Karal seems a-okay with it. I know, 'a-okay' isn't exactly piratey, but, if I be hearin' any complaints, yarrr, you'll be walkin' the plank! Anyhoo (which is also totally piraty), Charlie be bein' glad that Karal's back, an' he be tellin' her about his voyage to the York of New, and they be discussin' the potential evilness of FAO Schwartz. Nothin' be evil about capitizin' well on a big market; that jus' be smart business. YAR.
Gavin be allowing Karal to disturb him, in what the squirrels be tellin' me was ensuing awesomeness. They be sharin' grog and tales of fine wenches. Naminé be stoppin' by to be lookin' for Weird Mask Guy, who appears to have jumped ship for a bit, but Gavin be assurin' her that he's probably all right.
Aeryn and Crichon be all couply and cute an' makin' me be tossin' me cookies over the starboard side and they talk about their weddin' plans. Dawn be divin' into translations, which be soundin' like a rip-roaring good time, lemme tell ya. Thankfully, Molly and Mel show up, being allitrative and distractin'. Mel also be wantin' to be stabbin' things, 'cause Zuko be a jerk. Might I suggest stabbin' Zuko? It would be the piraty thing ta do. John Sheppard be bein' borin' with a book, too. Yawn. Teddy be playin' on teh intrawebs, an Chad and a rat-like thing show up and talk about beatin' up Teddy's boyfriend.
But I thought...
Yaaaaar, I be confused. This next note? Not be helpin', 'cause, uh, Setsuna be findin' a monkey in her underwear drawer with a note. Ohhhh-kay.... In news that be far less "WTF," Willow be studyin' her flag football. Best o' luck to ye research, Willow, 'les you be on the blue team, in which case I gotta be retractin' me statement as I be sponsorin' blue. And Will without the -ow be chattin' up her roommate Teddy 'bout cartoons that Teddy thinks be scary. Scary like Chad's cat scary? Notes be mentionin' that Teddy won't do stuff I cannae talk about with the cat around. Scary kitty says, "Leave room fer Jesus, LOL."
There also be cheerleadin' practice in the gym today, where me Fake Big Sister be talkin' about cheer camp. I be thinkin' that sounds terrifying, contrary to Molly, who must be thinkin' 'fun' means 'terrifyin'. Chad not be knowin' what it is, and be luckier not knowin', and Demyx be hopin' it's not durin' classes. Which be backward. Ye should be hopin' it's during classes so's ye can be skippin' out.
Stark be pacin' an' hummin' an' worryin' in his room, an' Tori be joinin' 'im and seein' how she could be helpin' out, arrrrrrrg.
Tonight, the Fourth Floor Common Room be the place where everyone be puttin' up thar boots tonight, where Aravis be watchin' the aforementioned potentially frightein' cartoons. Pirates? Can totally be sayin' aforementioned. Conner be tellin' the lass that the coyote ain't stupid, he jus' persistent and...Oh! Those cartoons? Someone please to be explainin' to Jim that the coyote doesn't have any money 'cause he don't be havin' no pockets, and he be havin' a charge account, obviously, with that ACME company. Yar.
Anyhoo...Conner also congratulated Seely on scorin' him a fine lass, and he then goes on to bounce with Adam, which me squirrels tell me is not dirty, so I only be assumin' it be quite gansta. Conner mistakes the Nomadic Celtic Chef for a previous student; mayhaps you had seen him on one o' his great many journeys? And then Aravis mistakes Dean for Alec an' he be explainin' about the whole Fandom Double thing, an', y'know, I always did wonder about that...So...if Alec an' Dean be kinda...y'know, then doesn't that mean they...
Ow. Brain. It be hurtin' somethin' bad. Dean and Seely chit-chat; hopefully it be about things that'll break me brain a little less, and Ronan be tellin' Dean about explodin' cupcakes, which, thankfully, I know is not dirty, except in the literal sense, an' I know it's terribly wasteful, right, Anders? Aravis and Adam discuss the stupidity of that thar coyote, and it not be stupidity, it be determination! Seely be sayin' he feels for the determined little desert wolf thingy. Ronan keeps talkin' 'bout more explosions with Adam, and then Aravis be sayin' that not only is the coyote stupid, but the roadrunner be mean, and, well, Aravis, if ye don't have anything nice to say, ye shouldn't say anything at all. Sam and Adam be bondin' over cartoon appriciation, as do Sam and Dean and Sam informs Seely of his weekend voyages to the Land o' Scot and the York o' New. Sam gets to be privy to the Nomadic Celtic Chef's hot new project. Will be educatin' Aravis on some cartoons an' bemoans the wretchedness of the newest incarnations to Conner and Seely. Adam gets an explaination, too, and also be explainin' the whole 'not from around here...time wise' thing. Rikku stops in and discusses frightenin' cheer camp with Seely and shares popcorn and stories about their voyage to Mask Guy's world with Will. She and Aravis hope the coyote brought some healing potions, which jus' be remindin' me to look into stockin' those up at the store...
Speaking of the store...let's go...
Portside, Mateys!
There be more Fun Run flyers here, and Fun Run be really fun to say. Fun run, fun run, red rum...
Katara be the wench to turn to if ye be wanting to make post today, although she may be gettin' your letters out a wee bit late. Mister Yizhak be openin' the diner and servin' up some Spam, which I be hearin' might be actually causin' scurvy than ever comin' near helpin' prevent it. I don't be rightly knowing what scurvy be, but it sounds dirty. Thar be coffee, pastries, and books over at the bookstore, where Chris be workin', but no customers. The Perk be serving caffeinated disgustin'ness to Miss Connell, who be visited by Miss Frost, who, despite her name, be not havin' a cold. These lovely lasses be talkin' about which ports they be callin' home, yaaaar. Though ye can't be callin' Vegas much of a port now, can ye? The music joint be winnin' in bad puns by havin' a Melody there. Charlie, who be one of the coolest wenches I know, be stoppin' in with a question. And I be makin' an honest wench of meself over at the best place to be gettin' yer supplies this side o' Bermuda, an' the master pirate himself be askin', "By why is the rum gone...outta me Squishy?" Apu be mentionin' that the rum be comin' as a seperate add-on, an' I ain't ne'er been more proud of me crew as I am now. At the trooper station, the ever awesome Agent Cooper be explorin' the wide, vast seas of Wiki and Pedia, bound to find treasure troves of useless knowledge with as much success as he be catchin' dirty scalliwags who be snippin' off people's braids. Mister Gabriel be attended the church.
An', of course, Wednesday be meanin' not jus' the bestest broadcaster ever on the radio, yaaaarr, but also Movies in the Park. Robin be enjoyin' him a bottle of good Sassparilla as well as ye olde filme. Well before ye olde filme, though, thar be a Mister Lucifer thar in the park, where he be accosted by ducks and Mister Aziraphale an' they be yammerin' about repairin' up some damage and whether or not ignorance be as blissful as they be sayin' it is.
And, really late tonight, there be strange sounds comin' from the playground equipment, which means I'll be takin' me a different route back to the dorms tonight.
Barwench Jaina be servin' up plenty o' grog at Caritas tonight, where Mister Leo be chattin' her up. Knowing Mister Leo, it probably be a pretty monosyllabic conversation. Barwench Kabuto *snerk* also be servin' up drink at the Devil's Nest. Mister Lucifer serves up his usual 'yar, I be all cool an' stoof 'cause I'm, like, teh devil' bit. Somehow, it never be gettin' old.
At home, Mister Aziraphale and Doctor Wilson had a lovely, pleasant conversation that moved into things that I cannae be talkin' about nor need to be knowin' about. On the more Turtle-can-be-talkin'-about-this level, Ms. Roslin be gettin' a call (that's call in the old way, by the way, meaning visit, not meaning ring-ring-hello! *ahem*) from a Mister Adama.
Pre-stuff-I-cannae-speak-of, Doctor Wilson and Mister Aziraphale be lollygaggin' in the clinic during the day shift.
Yar, an' that be the end of me pirate notes for tonight!
*clears throat*
Bein' a pirate ain't easy. I don't even think I can be stoppin' to talk like this. This...not be good. Bein' a pirate might be turnin' out to be a little bad on me reputation in the business. In the stock market, yarrr, we be likin' to hide our piraty tendencies, not be flauntin' 'em.
Mabbe a wee bit o' rum will help...
*sound of something being poured...sipped...*
*And spit*
UGH! That stuff is vile! UGH. How can you drink this stuff? Ooof. Wow. Well, I think I'm definitely clearled of my piraty ways now, man-oh-man. Yuck. That's worse than coffee!
Okay, I'm gonna sign out now and go eat a pound of sugar to get this taste out of my mouth. G'nite, and have a prosperous day!
[[ oh, and all pie, booze, applause, and first-borns should be directed at
