Fandom Radio, Tuesday, July 22nd

Good morning, Fandom! And I have to say, it's a very good morning, what with being able to sleep without a freezing wall and all the odd noises at all hours. Oh, and the ghosts were pretty bad, too.

In classes today, 7 Ways to Annoy Anakin Skywalker met in the computer lab, where Bel had the class order a lot of different hair products for him to ship to Anakin's house. They talked and shopped, while Bel made sure they weren't buying things for themselves.

Hacking 101 had a lecture about building and using rootkits to get past people's security software. Oh, are those those things that make trees into instant wifi hotspots? I was wondering when we'd get those here! Then everyone had to try to use theirs to get past Riley's security. Karolina and Riley were both there to help.

Dance stretched, then had their pick of Danger Shop partners to learn the lindy hop with. Kitty was around if there were any questions, too.

And Fun in the Sun went on a treasure hunt - nifty!. After a brief lecture, Bond gave everyone an envelope of clues they could use to find their assigned token somewhere on the island. No word on if there were any pirates, unfortunately. But Bond was there in case anybody needed to talk.

In the dorms, where we're once more living, thank all powers in the universe, Nathan ate and puts his clothing away, and Joker came by to apologize for his behavior last weekend. Well, at least he didn't kill anyone without even a proper introduction. I'm assuming. If I'm wrong...sorry.

Also Sam sent messages back home to prepare them for his class tomorrow, and Barry - hi, little sib! - was working on some headgear and a gremlin trap and calling his friend Jeremy, and then Kathy dropped by.

And in town, Rosalind was a little out of sorts at Book Haven, but the books were behaving themselves. Or possibly she was out of sorts because they were behaving themselves. Books are dangerous, and never to be trusted.

At the Perk, Irene was hanging around and catching up on celebrity gossip - oo, let us know if there's anything fun, okay? Hatter stopped by and they compared people back home pining for them, talked about his home's lack of any fun electronics, and then played keep-away with her coffee. I'm sure that ended well.

Later on, at Cafe Fina, Hatter was trying to figure out a new name for it. So, maybe it's not Cafe Fina anymore! More on this as it develops, I'm sure.

The Magic Box was blocked by tons of boxes that Surreal had to deal with, Groovy Tunes had a ton of random music that Mercy had to deal with, and the Devil's Nest had a huge delivery of Halloween stuff that Jack - the male one - dealt with by celebrating Halloween in July. Had we not had this month's yet, then? Anyway, Derek stopped by and suggested a costume party, and also let Jack - the male one - know he had to look out for someone.

Oh, that's so lovely and mysterious! A perfect lead-in for next week: tune in again, to find out who Jack should look out for and why.

Provided the squirrels tell me. Until then, I leave you with the weather.
