Fandom Radio, Tuesday, April 22nd
When you call something "final", doesn't that imply you'll never be doing it again? Shouldn't this week be "semifinals week"?
Welcome to Fandom, listeners. Despite this being a nominal week of final testing, it seems like so far many classes aren't having them.
Classic Video Games finished with Oregon Trail, which the squirrels are awfully enthusiastic about. I can only assume they've never actually had dysentery.
It's all Fun and Games had to make up their own game for their final, and got to debate the objective and rules, which sounds pretty neat. Let's face it, when you can stack the rules so you win, it's always better. I'm sure many of you have a fine business or political career in front of you.
Advanced Criminal Justice had to fight someone named Bane for their final, which they began by...I have conflicting notes here. One says planning strategy, and the other says Evan and Karina deciding they're not qualified for this. So whichever it was, I hope you did well.
And lastly, Self-Expression watched Space Battles in lieu of a final. Which, after the truly awful movie we saw on Sunday night, was kind of a relief.
Meanwhile, at 16 Unicorn, Sam Traynor got new orders, to leave Fandom, and Allie came to visit.
And in town, Mercy was thinking at the Groovy Tunes, which is a dangerous habit to get into, but I try not to judge.
Meanwhile Jack - the male one - was ordering new inventory and straightening the furniture at the Devil's Nest, which seems much safer. He talked to Eponine about their weekend and how awful it was - aww, then he asked her if she liked oranges and made her an orange drink especially for her. Aww!
Celia stopped in, too, and, after commenting about how the place was way less intimidating than the name suggested, ordered something non-alcoholic and strawberry flavored.
Allie came by here, too, and she and Jack - the male one - contemplated whether they should become hermits in the woods, or just hole up inside and never come out again. Personally, if you haven't decided yet, I would put my vote down for the holing up inside. It's much warmer and drier.
And at the Clinic, it was Sam Wilson's first day - oo, welcome to Fandom, new Sam! He spent some time getting used to the place, and then Clint came in after falling from a tree. He apparently just wanted some bandages and then to leave, but Sam said to forget it. Then they talked about what brought Sam to Fandom. Which the squirrels say was definitely cheaper rent.
And that's all the news for today, Fandom! I hope you're all having fun with your finals and semifinals and not-finals, and that the school continues its impressive run of zero fatalities! Until next week, I leave you with the weather.
