Fandom Radio, Tuesday, April 1st

The air is damp, the water is sticky, and I urge all of you to forego water-based hygiene today. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Cecil here, Fandom.

*chittering*

Yes, again. *sigh* I hope you're all recovering from your headaches, hangovers, and hadn't-beens today. But looking too far backwards is hard on the eyes and makes you trip a lot, so let's get on with the news, okay?

In Classic Video Games yesterday, they played Tetris. Presumably the electronic version, though I've always preferred the live-action one myself. It's All Fun and Games went for live action by playing field hockey, and Jack - the female one - congratulated everybody on still being alive. Well done, class! And Advanced Criminal Justice had a movie - well, TV - day and watched Law & Order reruns.

Self Expression class had a busy day, where we all got to talk about how we felt about everything that's happened lately.

Jim said he was tired and there should be an island-wide naptime declared; Eleanor agreed, but wanted to know how he could be sure the weirdness wouldn't come back. The simple answer is, it never left.

Raven said she was relieved to be back to normal, since things got a bit rough near the end, and Kitty congratulated her on getting through it. And Eleanor and Raven checked to make sure they were each okay. Well done - the buddy system is a great way of doing that! Will was also glad it's all over, but even though something happened to him, he didn't want to talk about it.

Bay talked about being Dominic, and she and Eleanor agree it was pretty violating. Bay also wondered what she's going to do with the stuff Dominic left behind. And Cosette said she'd forgotten what her life had been like before it got good. My advice, forget all about it again.

In fact, I know it's not a municipal ordinance here, but I think it's still good advice this week: I think we all should, if we see - or know - something, say nothing, and drink to forget.

*chittering cheers*

Just...not banana schnapps, okay? At least not for me. *throat clearing*

Meanwhile, in the dorms, Alana read a book in the lobby while selling tickets and soliciting votes for prom. I'd offer to sell my vote, but apparently I don't get one. And Sia cuddled her dog and texted.

Karina lay around in bed catching up on radio podcasts, because at least somebody appreciates good radio, when Sparkle knocked on the door with his head and asked to come in. She teased him about being a vampire, but he threw up and started rambling about not being okay, and she tried to get him to talk about it.

In the second floor common room, Maddie had pizza and TV to celebrate having a body again. Yay, Maddie! Vider came in and asked what day it was, since she apparently lost eight days coming home. Oh, dear. If anybody out there happens to know what happened to Vider's eight days, please either let her know, or maybe tell the school office.

And in town today, Atton sat at the Perk drinking coffee and making plans to go drinking with Sia, Mercy sat at Groovy Tunes feeling upset and trying to be invisible - no word on if she suceeeded - and Yeul stopped by to visit bringing hot chocolate, so Mercy talked about how upset she was about a wedding that's not going to happen. Oh, dear. We all wish you the best, Mercy, and if you need any help recovering, drinking, or going on a revenge-fueled campaign for justice, just let us know.

In the parking lot, Riley was spending some time with his car when Eliot pulled in looking a little lost. He and Riley talked about how the roads on the island are too narrow for cars, and Eliot said he'd come to check out the island because a castle was pretty unique. Ooo, do you think he's a scientist?

Ahem.

Jack - the male one - was offering two-for-one drinks at the Devil's Nest last night to anyone with a story about last week, so if anyone has a time machine or any other means of manipulating the non-existent thing that is time, last night's the time!

Éponine teased him and asked if the offer included people who weren't old enough to drink, and they talked about going through the doors and talking Booker out of coming to the island. Derek stopped by, too, got some coffee, and then he and Jack made vampire and werewolf jokes at one another and talked about actually turning into a wolf for good.

Possible Scientist Eliot wondered what the special meant, and Jack explained a bit about the recent goings-on and then tried to tell him about the island's differences. Whatever those are.

And at Caritas, my darling ex-wife Kenzi was still hungover - ugh, aren't we all? Billy stopped by for a nonalcoholic drink and told to her how it bothered him he hadn't even noticed anything was weird with Topher, and Bay and Kenzi talked about the different people they'd been recently, like how real Dominic seemed and how Kenzi might have been a ballerina.

Sia met Atton for drinks, and was impressed at how well he seemed to be dealing with everything, until he taught her the importance of compartmentalizing. And while Kenzi lined up Sia's shots, Sia explained that she spent a few weeks being what she hated most, and then some time with a whole…"remembering being alive and dead at the same time" thing. Huh. Really?

*chittering*

Well, the squirrels say so. Also, Kenzi talked about her awesome little girl Mia, wherever she is now, and she and I talked a bit about coping. Which I'm apparently not actually teaching, though I am the TA.

And as the squirrels seem to have gotten a head start on the drinking for today, I'm going to head back out before I'm tempted. Oh, and if anyone knows any good tattoo artists, let me know? I'm considering my options. But until next week, I wish you all good coping, I welcome those of you new to town, and I leave you with the weather.
