Fandom Radio, Tuesday, March 11th

Time isn't real. We change it by declaring it changed. I would like to declare it Springtime. I encourage everyone else to do the same. We must not bow to the whims of this imaginary thing called Time. Welcome to Fandom.

Good morning, listeners. Cecil here. I'd like to begin with a public service announcement. If any of you have seen the Kenzi that dreams of being a jewel thief, please encourage her to come back home. Her double won't kill her, and think of all the fun we can have with two of her!

Until then, here is the news from yesterday.

At the school, it was game day. Classic Video Games played Tomb Raider, and It's All Fun and Games opted for board games. Several people found games and paired up to play, including Cade and Karolina; he wanted to play chess and offered to teach her the game.

Advanced Criminal Justice, after Batwoman explained that she's a woman and always has been - and really, who are we to question anyone's gender? That should go without saying - practiced moving stealthily. Which I guess means they played hide-and-seek. Or at least they'll be better at it now.

And Self-Expression played...speaking, I guess, and delivered the speeches they were assigned last week. I hope everyone did a great job!

A few of the other teachers had office hours, where Paige looked over some documents from home and Electroclash looked up exotic fruit juices to order. Personally, I like blood kiwi, though I don't know how exotic that is.

In the dorms, Cade woke up bright and early and started his day with a lot of pushups. Atton wondered why, since he'd usually still be sleeping off a hangover, but Cade insisted he doesn't drink. He invited Atton on a jog, but Atton chose not to. Don't forget to keep up on your running skills, though, Atton! It's always good to be able to outrun things that life throws at you.

Meanwhile, Flick practiced jujitsu at the gym. Isabelle watched him for a while and complimented his style, which he apparently promised to write down in his diary, and he and Kathy waved at each other as she headed for the treadmill.

Later in the evening, Eleanor read a philosophy book in the third floor common room. Joker came in and they talked about whether or not she was hallucinating his space monkey. Which the squirrels insist is real, and I have to say, I remember it from Friday's class, for whatever that's worth. I mean, I might not be real, either. Just like they weren't sure if Joker himself was, or if she was imagining all his awesomeness. But they flirted anyway.

Victor made Joker's hand sad by not returning a high five, then fixed it. Aww. Then Joker decided that Victor would be his stand-in in any arm wrestling contests. Victor and Eleanor talked about what huge study books they should be reading, and Victor wondered how he was going to get into college after high school. I recommend you narrow it down to a few schools you really like, then find out what their preferred methods of sacrifice are. A good offering can really make all the difference!

And in the town, Mike at the Turtle & Canary was disconcerted to find his pistol where the shotgun was supposed to be, not to mention a bot and a panda that had switched genders. Maybe.

At Stark Industries, Cade was fixing things and eating healthy foods, being really industrious. Jim had no idea what to make of Cade actually working. Or apparently being polite. Or blushing when Jim asked him if he was a virgin. And - one moment, listeners. I'm being handed another note by this small, brown squirrel. It reads, "Hey, island! Cade's a virgin!" Honestly?

*chittering*

*sigh* Listeners, you may officially consider that statement not a part of the news. I'm not reporting anything unverified.

A pair of phantom trolls were spinning around the dance floor during Jack Priest's shift at the Devil's Nest. Kaidan and Jack shared notes about recent hallucinations before speculating about the history of turtles on the island, Kitty and Jack complained about the way trolls smell, then she admitted she was there to check up on him after some crazy happenings in Beacon Hills.

Derek also complained to Jack about the troll smell and his cold before they talked about reasons why Derek was dreading Sunday. Does Derek know something we don't? And Dinah and Jack shared their concerns about the number of people who aren't quite themselves. Speaking of which - colds and people not being themselves and all - does anybody know what you give a friend with a head cold and no head? I'm sort of at a loss. If you have a suggestion, please let me know.

And finally, at Caritas, Kenzi had Jell-O shots! They were pretty cool, too. And she had no idea what to make of Tino being a guy. Kenzi! *whispered* it's impolite to question someone's gender!

*cough* Anyway, there were the standard glowing Jell-O shots, which I had a few of, and we talked about my three eyes, and Jono, and what sorts of things Kenzi wants to be when she grows up. I still say ballerina and jewel thief are both pretty great!

James was also there, and was willing to say he remembered pretty much anything in order to get free booze. Sparks came, too, and brought Amelia for free Jell-O, but she was upset by the glowing shots and went with non-glowy ones instead.

This has been the news for Fandom yesterday. Inasmuch as "yesterday" has any meaning. Remember, everyone - if we all declare it Spring, it has to be Spring! Just keep at it. And until next week, I leave you with the weather.
