Fandom Radio, Tuesday, February 24th

*rustling* *fumbling*

"What the - Cecil! Those squirrels are back!"

"What, now?" *running and scrambling* "Oh! Is it Tuesday morning already?"

*chittering*

"Sorry; it's still Monday night here; I wasn't quite ready."

*chittering*

*sigh* "Cecil, could you just take them out into the living room or something, so I can use the bathroom?"

"Oh, of course, ♥Carlos♥! Come on."

*more fumbling, chittering*

Good even...erm, morning, Fandom! Cecil here, coming to you live from Night Vale and last night. I hope you're enjoying the future. I've got quite a few notes here, so why don't I get right down to it?

On the island, Hanna dressed the Demon Marcus mannequin up in all kinds of mismatched clothing to help distract her from the fact that she wasn't in Bali. I'm not entirely sure how that was supposed to help, but I hope it did. Meanwhile, Roland was playing Jimmy Buffett music in the park. I know the parrot heads here would appreciate that. We've got quite a few of them in Night Vale. We've even got a few folks that have gone as far as parrot bodies, but I think that's kind of excessive, to be honest.

Meanwhile, pretty much everyone else was in Bali. In the morning, several students decided to take advantage of the pools. Will dove into the lagoon pool, where Celia was reading, and Atton had some coffee at the poolside bar.

Elsewhere in the resort, Chuck went to the gym - doesn't he understand what vacation is for? A bunch of folks who could probably give him a better idea were over at the beach. Flick was being lazy, Kitty was sunbathing, Joker was enjoying the sun and reading a book, and Vider was lounging about very well protected against the destructive force of nature we call the sun.

Some folks decided to be a little more energetic, but were still having more of a vacation than Chuck was. Alec engaged in the traditional consumerism in the souvenir shop, Taylor took care of the eating-food-you-can-find-just-as-easily-at-home part by having pizza at Salsa Verde, and at the Water Court restaurant, Anakin Skywalker - you know, the Dean - and his son had breakfast, along with the birds, who ate quite a bit of Christopher's, apparently; and Maddie took in the sights. Of people having breakfast, presumably.

Outside the resort, Rilla & Dr. Lecter chatted about argumentative consumerism at the Ubed market while Rilla looked for gifts for her family.

Several people went to see the Goa Gajah Temple; Gert took pictures and...did tailoring?

*chittering*

Oh, sorry. Took in the sights. Rather than taking them in. Sia took advantage - good for Sia! - of the opportunity to check things out. Books, at a guess? Liara also took in the sights while avoiding the crowds, and Cosette & Sia talked about the carvings and cultures and the need to scare things off. Which is a really important need! If you haven't got a duly appointed representative to scare things off for you, please - get one as soon as possible! Better to be overprepared than unprepared.

And Cade, who was way too energetic for a proper vacation but still more fun than Chuck, took a bike ride to see Mount Batur, which was apparently fairly impressive. Assuming it really exists.

Later that evening, folks enjoyed a bit of the Bali nightlife.

Eleanor went to her room to change before going out again, April and Jackson took advantage of the pools, and there was still a beach. It's good to know it didn't go anywhere.

Mercy comes asked Cosette if she thought this would be a good place for her honeymoon - it doesn't say whose, though. Who's getting married?

*confused chittering*

Huh. Well, congratulations to whomever! I hope you have as much fun as I did at mine!

Mercy also asks Joker his opinion on its suitability, and he asked if she was proposing. No news on what the answer is, so I'll just offer a tentative congratulations to Mercy and Joker, just in case!

Joker found Eleanor at Pasar Senggol and invited her for food and a show, which he really shouldn't have done if he just got engaged. For shame, Joker! Unless that thing with Mercy was a misunderstanding, in which case, never mind!

Will went for familiar food at Salsa Verde, and there was also a Salsa Bar, where Kitty and Stiles caught up on their vacations so far, and Kitty talked about all the reasons she's annoyed with Fandom. There are apparently quite a few. All I can say is, file a complaint with the appropriate authorities, just as soon as you find whoever that might be. Then they talked about their AU kids and the awkwardness than can ensue.

Elsewhere, Maddie was hanging out with coffee and a guitarist at Pesona Lounge, Dr. Lecter checked out the food at Sarong, Cade and his leather pants hit up MBarGo...I'm not sure if that means the pants are sentient or not; and Atton got a drink at CP Lounge.

Meanwhile, Kenzi and Raven came to hang out with me and Carlos at home, which may not be Bali, but it has ♥Carlos♥. And really, experiencing the unknown of another culture can be so draining sometimes. Still, it sounds like most of you are really having fun, so I hope you all enjoy your week off.

Until I see you back in Fandom, I leave you all with the weather!
