Fandom Radio, Saturday, September 7th

You are aware, squirrels, that this Tuesday is a Saturday?

*Chittering*

Of course you are. Well, this is going to take some getting used to, but I suppose I'll manage. Somehow. Probably with yet more coffee. Squirrels, you go and get me some of that while I read these notes, would you? It's th'least you can do if you're going to have me out and about on a Saturday morning.

*Chittering*

Right, good. Well, now that that's settled. Hello, Fandom. I'm Jonothon Starsmore, that large, grouchy greyish man who occasionally loses his mind and decides to put on plays in his theatre space in town. Well, now that's settled. Hello, Fandom. I'm Jonothon Starsmore, that large, grouchy greyish man who occasionally loses his mind and decides to put on plays in his theatre space in town. And this, as I'm sure you've all figured out by now is the radio show where I sit here being hounded by squirrels until I read whatever it is they think actually passes for news around here. I can tell you before I even look at these notes that perhaps one or two is even going to apply to you in some way, shape, or form. Unless you're currently an animal, and you have all Friday classes, and you want to know what you missed. In which case, it's the first week back. Introductions. Done.

*Chitter!*

Fine, I'll read them properly. But you owe me breakfast, too, if I'm right. *Papers rustle* At the School, Batman explained the concept of Criminal Justice to his students, who he then had introduce themselves. That's one for one so far, if the squirrels are keeping track. Victor spoke to Batman after class about getting the TA slot, which he earned by answering a hypothetical about kicking puppies. Cultural Exploration visited Paris, where they ate fancy French food, visited the Eiffel Tower, and, yes, introduced themselves. Breakfast is going to be satisfying today, squirrels. Before heading back to the island, Rilla spoke to Clint about possibly staying in Paris forever. I'm going to assume the answer was 'no.'

Commander Alenko started this semester of Space-Exclamation-Point class with, you guessed it, a lecture followed by introductions. And then Mercy was asked to be his TA. Finally, the class that will make or break this streak on the way to my breakfast, How To Steal A Princess - and that's quite the name - also had...

*Drumroll*

Introductions. I'll take those eggs over-easy, with bacon and toast.

Moving right along, Billy was using the library computer when a toy plane paid him a visit, announcing that it wanted to make out with him. The plane was being remote-controlled by Topher, which pushes that news article from disturbing directly into sugary-sweet tooth rot territory. Also at the school, Kitty was in her office, working on her syllabus. I'll probably actually write one at some point this semester, myself. Just as soon as I work out a reliable means of grading students on things like popcorn-eating and waving comically oversized foam hands in the air.

Nothing happened in the dorms, so I'll move right along to Town, where Alec had a shipment of marshmallow shooters with actual exploding marshmallows over at Freedom Arms. April was taking care of a pug rescue over at the Furnado Animal Shelter, which I visited yesterday and spoke with her about getting my cat back, and how she managed to get a job taking care of living creatures. Turns out, she's good at it. Sparkle was reading a fun and informative webcomic about sex toys over at Dite's. Allie had space-themed drinks on special over at the Devil's Nest, and was visited by Bruce Wayne, who spoke with her about Mars rovers and how the school was spending his money. Remind me to thank Bruce for the funding that's going toward dragging my students off on field trips every week. Every. Week. Barton probably ought to thank him for the same. Éponine paid Allie a visit as well, asking about what was so interesting on her phone last night.

And that appears to be all of my notes for the week. Now, if you'll excuse me, Fandom, I'm going to go eat my breakfast. Have a good week. Or, at least, don't get eaten by anything that falls on you from above.ad whatever it is they think actually passes for
