Fandom Radio- Thursday, September 5
Happy Thursday, Shana Tova, and hi, Fandom! This is Kitty Pryde, who's apparently in charge of this whole thing now because I think we're incapable of doing things a normal way in Fandom, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. At some point.
So let's move on to school, where Friendship is Teamwork!!! started with Pikie and Derek tied together at the leg and then there was glitter. Okay, Pinkie, I need you to do me a huge favor and either tape your classes this semester, or let me sit in, okay? The students introduced themselves with what they contribute to a team, which actually seems fairly normal for that class. Good job. The Art of War learned about Sun Tzu and also introduced themselves. If you haven't gotten it yet, that's a thing this first week. Hunker down, there's only two more days of it. Breaking Things 101 found things to break, introduced themselves, then broke those things.
...Can I sit in on this class? Or come to your office and break things? Serious question.
Anyway, the students in Basic Questing! were introduced to Thor before introducing themselves, and Vider stopped by to ask about the TA position. Bluffing got Lady Gaga stuck in my head and I would really like it to stop, and then they did introductions and played cards against each other.
Over in the library, Sholeh was trying to welcome people inside. Cecil asked about the cookies and she told him they're meant to be welcoming, and are totally not a trap. ...This town, I swear. And over by the offices, Riley was moving his furniture around when Derek snuck up on him to talk about their classes. He does that. Don't be surprised. And I helped Riley move his desk and explained that yes, Pinkie Pie is definitely a real pink pony and everyone should love her. There, free tip from me to you.
At the dorms, Gert had apples and honey for Rosh Hashanah and was making a list of resolutions in the second floor common room. Cecil was just excited to see bread, because it's banned where he comes from. Let me guess, they're big on the gluten-free bandwagon? Atton was however complaining about the lack of meat, and Bay was bored with classes on only one day, so she and Gert made plans to go to Baltimore. I work three jobs now. I will totally trade you for that boredom, Bay.
Theo was reading a magazine in his room, and Loki wondered if he was reading about the VMA's. He then had to explain the VMA's, and I'm so glad not to see the word 'twerking' anywhere near my notes. If you don't know what that is... ask your friends. Because I don't actually know. Maddie sent emails in her own room and had Cecil poke his head in to say hi. See, that's one way to make new friends.
In town, Jess moved a new couch into Doomhaus. ...Doomhaus? Like... WHY WOULD ANYONE VOLUNTARILY LIVE THERE? Jess, I know you don't know me, but if you need help, just pass on a message with the squirrels. It'll be okay! Ahem. Anyway, Hanna was excited to be decorating her first new place, which is kind of awesome to be able to do.
Jake was making the troopers do jumping jacks at the station when he met new detective Tamsin, who doesn't seem so impressed with the town. Give it a few weeks, you'll be sharing our Stockholm Syndrome. Kenzi was dancing around and singing about IKEA at Luke's, and Nikolai made the park his office so he could get some work done. There he met Herc and his dog, with Herc explaining difficulties in teaching self-defense with a busted arm. He also got to catch up with Allie, who was glad to see he survived all the flying things that wanted to kill us... Yeah, sorry, new people, that happens sometimes. Feel like I should have broken that news gentler. And anyway, Nikolai got to explain that to a girl Jack, who wanted to know about the rainbow ducklings that fell from the sky. Like I said, it happens.
Jake spent his night at Caritas drinking, which is weird to say on air when I'm his boss. And Derek who I would really like to stop being made at me was at the Devil's Nest, where Jack from before came in for a drink she was promised and told him about class and radio, and Derek told her the squirrels lie.
*chittering!*
The squirrels take offense. Anyway, that's all I've got. I guess I'm here again next week, so I'll talk at you then!
