Fandom Radio, Wednesday, August 7th

Good morning, folks, and welcome to yet another Wednesday. All you have to do is get through today and the week is half over!

Let's see how my squirrel-translating skills are doing today. At the school, the Meditation class went outside, where the nature is, and Jim apparently got too comfortable while meditating. The Around the World class went off to Cambodia, where they had to choose between going on a scavenger hunt and fishing, and then search through an echo chamber before checking in. The Coping With Loss class talked about the stages of grief, which makes it sound more like therapy than ever, and the students had to come up with lists of things that might make them feel better. Finally, Desert Island Survival talked about both signaling and defense, and Sholeh practiced spelling out letters with her clothes. Helpful letters, I'm gonna assume.

Over in teacher office land, Dracula was trying to get information out of a shrunken head--ew?--when Hannibal stopped by with a present of shark from his cookout, and I was buying plane tickets, which is always an awful experience but at least the trip will be worth it. In the dorms, Emily stopped being a rose and got to be an actual person again, which made Jessica happy, and she caught Emily up on everything she's missed recently. Theo was recovering from class and ignoring messages on his phone, and Natalie was meditating in her room until Jim came by and interrupted, so Natalie talked to him instead about getting stuck in town with her ex-boyfriend during the sharks. Aww, Natalie, that sounds like something that would happen to me. Which means it's awful, in case that wasn't clear.

In town, April and Sarah spent their evening at the beach talking about ex-boyfriends, and Bay made the chefs do all the onion chopping at Luke's. Mary was trying to listen to supply requests without being driven to drink at the Arms Hotel, and Eponine was reading a book at the post office when Mike came in to get a package, and Eponine asked him to use his furniture-making skills on making her a bedframe. Finally, if you didn't go to Caritas yesterday, that's probably a good thing because apparently Tino was doing some shirtless Irish stepdancing and that's something no one should be exposed to. I may have to check on Kitty to make sure she's okay.

*chittering*

Hey, excuses don't hurt. Anyway, those are all the notes the squirrels have for me, so I'm going to head out. See you guys next week.
