Fandom Radio, Wednesday, July 17th
Ugh, good morning, folks. Is it really time for this already? My internal clock must be all kinds of off. Let's see what the squirrels have for me here while I wait for the coffee to kick in.
Okay, up at the school, Intro to Meditation practiced mindful meditation, which I guess is meditation where you actually pay attention to what you're meditating about? So everyone meditated and then talked about what they experienced. Jim spent his time leering at Natalie to make the experience less boring, which is only cool if she enjoyed it, dude, and then Natalie apologized to Bruce for being a snake last week. I don't think that's something to apologize about, but it's still a nice gesture. Around the World in Seven Weeks went to Azerbaijan--ugh, bad memories from there. First, they had to count stairs, which probably wasn't as easy as it would be here and that's saying something. Then, they had to either get covered from head to toe in crude oil--ew--or find a few apples out of a full van of them before checking in. The Coping With Loss students got to take a test already, and the folks in Desert Island Survival had to make a water source out of a dress, which made Cade skeptical but hey, with the right material anything is possible.
Over in the teacher offices, Dr. Lecter had office hours, and Dracula stopped by to talk about Mavis and her allergy to garlic. In the dorms, Flick was watching TV in one of the common rooms with his lunch, and he and Mercy commiserated about how awful the Skywalkers' class is. Awww, I don't know, I think it sounds fun. Later in the evening, Mira had pizza to share in a common room while she checked out the baseball game.
In town, Mary was trying to stay cool at the Arms Hotel. Let me tell you how much fun it is walking a slow-paced dog in this weather. It's a good thing he's cute. At the Devil's Nest, Emma had the AC turned up and was taking pictures of Jack, who is currently a puppy, and at Caritas, Kitty was wearing colors and probably looking adorable while doing it. Definitely. Yeah, that's a much better word.
Thankfully, that's all the squirrels have for me, so I'm going back for more coffee. Stay safe, folks.
