Fandom Radio, Saturday, June 29

Sam: Good morning, Commander. I've got coffee for you here if you'd like some.

Kaidan: ...Thanks. I feel like I haven't slept in days.

Sam: I think that goes for both of us, sir. Let's tackle this quickly, shall we?

SCHOOL

Kaidan: Professor Priest finished off Parlour Games class with a party that involved a piano and card games. Kinda feels like I'm setting up a joke.

What definitely sounds like a joke is Professor Oz's final. Pirate-ninja-cyborg velociraptors?

Sam: …I can't even picture what a combination of all of those things would even look like. I do hope the students who had to deal with them managed to handle it.

Kaidan: Haven't spotted any deaths on here, at least. Archery 101 ends on a normal final about who's got the best shot, though it focuses more on practicing. And then-- The Joker takes over Advanced Survivalism class? What the hell?

Sam: That's definitely a name I haven't heard before. I'm a little concerned...

Kaidan: Yeah. That can't be good. Oh, and Professor Solo's done teaching so she cleaned out her office. Sad to see you go, Jaina.

TOWN

Sam: In the early afternoon, Bruce had lunch at Pizza Planet and was paid a visit by Natalie, who walked away the newly-appointed teaching assistant for Dr. Banner's class. Congratulations, Natalie. Meanwhile, at Stark Industries, Ben was working on schematics for a bathtub for a spaceship. I'd certainly like to be on that ship. I hear the shower arrangements on most ships are terrible.

While Nikolai had coffee and new sunglasses over at the Perk, Alec was a bit antsy over at Freedom Arms, and across town at Dite's Decadent Delights, Sparkle was setting up for a Pride party today. Oh, I... think I might stop by later.

Kaidan: Huh. Good idea.

Sam: At Luke's, Priestly had a panda attached to him, not literally I hope, and Dinah called to discuss how things have been going with her lately. Meanwhile, Mike was tired over at Caritas, while Allie at the Devil's Nest was preoccupied by a conga line of gremlins, which attracted the curiosity of Commander Alenko here -- who Allie felt could certainly handle the gremlins if things got out of hand -- and Éponine, who thought her cat might have been useful in this instance, as she could chase away the pests. I hope neither of those interventions wound up being necessary.

Sam: Finally, the report from earlier about the, er, Joker was continued over in the warehouse district, where students met to rescue their teacher. Victor took out some stooges, Sia handled some poison gas, Korra kept the air clean with some sort of powers, Alex handled more thugs, as well as turrets, and it seems as though everyone emerged unscathed. That's fortunate. Well done, everyone.

Kaidan: Things worked out okay in the end-- Batman escaped his confinement, fought the Joker, and forced him into a lobster trap. From which he escaped. Uh... I've seen a lot in my time, but...

Sam: That's... not your typical class final. To say the least. Well, thank you for listening, Fandom, and I hope everyone's day today is... safer.
