Fandom Radio, Wednesday, May 15th
Hey everyone, and good morning. I guess I've officially gotten used to doing this radio thing because I didn't even mind the squirrel wake-up call this morning. Okay, it might have helped that I was already up.

Yes, I know you're hungry, but the fire-breathing whatevers out there are not actually food. I'll get you more real breakfast once I'm done here, I promise.
Okay, school stuff first because that's how this goes. In the Combat Tech class, everyone did the introduction thing to explain their experience with combat tech and what they might be defending themselves against with said technology. Dr. Banner had his first First Aid class, and after finding out about their experience and all, he had the students play Operation.
In Try Not To Die!!!, which wins for both the class with the most exclamation points in its name and the class with the coolest title, the students started right out dealing with obstacles in England like scaling a castle wall and slingshotting watermelons at suits of armor. After everyone crossed the finish line they got to find out how they did and see who won--and apparently Theo was the fastest this week, so congrats. Finally, there was Hitting Things 101 which had introductions and then beating on dummies. Jaina made sure Alex knew she has a twin running around the island--don't worry Alex, you get used to it, even if your twin turns out to be weird--and Zeela told Jaina she wasn't on the roster because someone failed at paperwork, but Jaina let her stay in class anyway.
Over in the dorms, Sia was packing after a phone call, and when Atton stopped by, she explained to him that she had some work to do at home and asked if he'd watch her dog while she was gone, which he grudgingly agreed to do. In the third floor common room, Raven was exploring the television--I'm going to assume that means watching it and not taking it apart--and talked to Anya about not getting obsessed with television shows and Tony about how some of her expectations about what the future would be like haven't quite been met. Sorry we haven't achieved flying cars yet, but we do have smartphones, and I think those are better.
In town, Ender got back into the habit of meditating on the beach and hey, speaking of smartphones, Eponine was playing with her new phone at the post office and trying to make it work by actually reading the manual. At the Portalocity office, Emily was reading up on why not to take a portal back in time to take out evil dictators, which does sound like a good, but terrible idea, and at the Devil's Nest, Emma was texting on her phone until Jack came in to catch up on the latest Kaeleer gossip, and Eric was playing dirty rounds of Draw Something. See, phones are pretty awesome. At Caritas, Kitty wasn't feeling well, but she trucked on to help Coulson with a celebratory drink, for reasons I'm definitely going to have to shake him down for later, and to give Derek a water, of all things, and--hey, okay, I don't hate him. It's just... serious dislike. That's different. Then I came in to see Kitty, just in time for her to turn into an adorable little lion cub who likes scritches.
*wee baby lion cub purring*
See? Yeah, I know I'm going to pay for that later. Anyway, that's all the squirrels had for me. Stay safe, everyone, and be careful when going outside today, okay?
