Fandom Radio, Tuesday, February 19th
Good morning, Fandom. It's Tuesday again, is it? And the last Tuesday before spring break, no less. You must all be crawling up the walls in anticipation. What are they doing this year? Boats, isn't it?
... I was once kidnapped off a boat by a flying, flaming skeleton. I'll leave you all to it, then, and in the meantime I'll read these notes.
Yesterday at the School, I'd say it looked like another film week, but that's rather the point of Philosophy, which watchedmeta for She's All That. American Feminism learned about All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, which is a bit of a mouthful, before watching a film about the same. In Flight class they were flying Chiss clawcrafts and trying to beat Jaina's score in the simulator with them, which leads me to assume that a Chiss must be another other-galaxy thing, and not actually a dirty word, like frell or frack or *radio feedback.* After class, Emily asked Jaina how she might go about getting extra time in the sim. In the library, William had to deal with gummi everything, tucked away wherever it might, which had Constantine a bit out of sorts when he found a gummi penguin in the teapot. Hopefully before he brewed the tea. And Apathy Club enjoyed a change of scenery yesterday, choosing to be apathetic in a Danger Shop simulation of an apartment.
In the Dorms, apparently Gert was the winner of the stalked-by-squirrels award yesterday, as she gets to be the only one reported on this page of notes. I'm going to assume it's because the squirrels were hoping that she'd dye their hair purple while she was doing her own. Going by the distinct lack of violet rodents, I'd say they left disappointed. Shame, Gert. Shame.
And, finally, we have notes on Town, where Allie watched the sunrise from a park bench. Maybe I ought to start waking up for those on days that aren't radio or class days. Cade was in a good mood as he worked on a droid at Stark Industries, Alice got to deal with boxes of knives and Wellspring Arms, and Karla was letting ladybirds go at Dite's. I... Karla, there are some pieces of merchandise there that I'm very certain nobody wants to find little spotted beetles hiding around in.
Jake was at the Perk for a raspberry mocha and a muffin, and was for whatever reason rolling the rim up on his coffee cup. It's easier to drink from while it's in one piece, Jake. He and Allie talked about how there isn't much actual work for the police to do on this island, and how she goes on patrol at nights all the same. April decided that his Newfoundlander accent was Irish, and so he got to explain the difference. So far as I'm aware, the difference mostly involves the willingness to kiss stones versus fish, one of which is meant to make you more eloquent, and the other simply proving that you're an idiot. Jaina remarked on how it was odd to see Jake not at work, and caught up on the three minute dating and incidents of throwing drinks in people's face beforehand.
At the Devil's Nest, Jack was dealing with leftover Valentine's candy. I'm certain I know somebody who might be able to assist with that. Kaidan came in to remind him never to three minute date again, and then they discussed strategies for getting rid of all of the leftover candy. Drink garnishes were mentioned. I think I would try that.
And that's all for my notes today, thank goodness. Until next week, when I'll likely be reporting from somewhere that is decidedly not a boat. This is Jonothon Starsmore, signing off.
