Fandom Radio [Friday, February 15, 2013]

Good morning, Fandom! It's Friday, February 15th--

*clears throat.* Excuse me. Please stop doing that.

*sounds of squirrel makeouts*

Please.

*more sounds*

STOP IT IT'S NOT VALENTINE'S DAY ANY MORE AND I'M CERTAIN YOU'RE NOT MARRIED.

*irritated chittering*

If it didn't happen with a minister, it didn't happen. ANYWAY. I'm Rilla Blythe, and this is the radio report for yesterday. Where love was in thank air, though not literally, thank heavens.

In classes, Pop Culture spoke about violence in the media and if they thought that movies, books, and video games had any affect on how they felt about violence. I feel much more violent since I moved here, but at home I was also not attacked by a bug the size of my hat. The mean professor of Ethics only gave some students the good chocolate, which led to a discussion of envy. Miss Korlov shared her candy with Miss Berry and explained that she didn't eat candy because she's dead and doesn't eat at all.

*awkward pause*

She's dead!?

*chittering*

No, I'm sure you're telling the truth. Just...never mind. In the library, Mr. Sabahnur was reading a romance novel--they are quite good, aren't they?--until Miss Sholeh paid a call to thank him for the flowers he sent her, which reminds me! Flowers were sent out yesterday in honor of St. Valentine's Day. I hope you enjoyed them! I will be writing thank you notes for the ones I received--it was really quite kind of people to remember me.

In the dormitory, Mr. Castellan order a pizza with pineapple on it to celebrate Valentine's Day with Mr. Jackson. Did Mr. Jackson deserve to be punished in some way? Miss Thorne was in her room feeling a mite sorry for herself being alone, and Miss Drew paid a call and they talked about their days.

Mr. Rand was playing a video game about crashing helicopters in the rec room--was it violent? Do you feel more violent than you did earlier in the day? Mr. Oz would like to know--and Miss Thorne came in and complimented him on his skills in flying, which led to talk of flying real things, like space ships.

Mr. Lightwood was selling tickets for the dance--see you there!--in the lobby and thanked Mr. Wayland for the flower he'd sent before they began wondering why people moped about after a breakup. I think it's because they're sad.

And finally in town, Mr. Barton ordered Chinese food for his evening with Miss Pryde. Hopefully that means there wasn't pineapple involved. Mr. Priestly was selling heart-shaped pizzas at Cafe Luke's and Cafe Fina was open for romantic dinners as well. Miss Thénardier was talking to herself outside the post office--that sounds a bit worrisome--and a gremlin dressed as a cupid shot Mr. Murdoch at his shop, oh no!

Improv class acted out first dates with annoying personality quirks, and Miss [Kenzi's last name] tried to convince Mr. Starsmore to replace the chairs in the theatre with sofas. He was not sold on the idea. Miss Navaan was very upset at the clinic because no one had told her about the holiday and now she felt doomed to a life of chastity.

What's wrong with a life of chastity?

Finally, Miss [Kenzi's last name] opened Caritas with conversation hearts and inexpensive drinks.

That's all the notes I have! Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
