Laugh it up, squirrels. Go right ahead.
*Chittering*
It'll go away, you know. It isn't like I'm going to go running around with half my face looking like a blasted waffle for the rest of my life.
*Chittering*
If you must know, I was looking up music on the internet and lost track of time. Will you just give me the bloody notes, or are we going to have to stand here and wait until the keyboard imprints fade entirely? You woke me up, I'm here, but I really would much rather head back home and attempt to get some proper sleep. In a bed.
Thank you. At the School, we saw the return of a very fruity Study Hall manned by Jamie Madrox. Also, there were oranges. Ender spoke to his Philosophy class about how wherever there are people, inevitably there will be conflict, and students got to weigh in with their opinions on the matter. In Art Games, Angela taught the students origami, and they tried to come up with origami-based games. All I can come up with is that little, four pointed... thing... that you stick your fingers in? You know, and you write different outcomes on the inside flaps, and... stop looking at me like that, squirrels. I know what I'm talking about, here, keyboardface be damned.
Ahem. Romeo asked his Poetry students for opinions about some poems about death that he read, and then opened the floor for discussion on the subject. And in Middle of a War class, Zayne spoke to his students about how both sides in a war have their own distinct goals, and then got them to speak about what their own motivations were if they were involved in a war back home, or what it would take to pull them into one, now. You're sure you want to open the floor to discussion on that subject, Zayne? I think half the island could go on for hours about the battles they're fighting back home.
There wasn't much activity that the squirrels deemed note-worthy in the Dorms yesterday, with the exception of Atton, who was cat-sitting Sia, who decided to pick yesterday to change back to a human. After Atton got her clothed again, he asked her why in the world she thought she was too good for the food he was giving her all week. And the answer to that, Atton, all comes back to the simple fact that she was a cat. Mystery solved.
And in Town, where it is still disgustingly hot, Vincent was outside working the grill at Cafe Luke's. I'd say he was a madman for that, except the notes also mention sangria and strawberry lemonade, and I think for either of those I would have risked standing over a hot grill in this weather, too. Angelica had the right idea as well, hosing off the horses at The Gig. Jack didn't have to worry so much about the heat as he did about a headache at the Devil's Nest, where he had to try to sort out an accounting error while ignoring Tiny's -ahem- unique vocal stylings. And, while walking his dog in the park yesterday evening, Jack Carter took a seat on the bench, and apparently he found himself stuck there. Oh, that one. I know that one, Jack. I've spent a lot of time on that bench, myself. Bring bread if you're going to sit there. Feeding the ducks passes the time while you're busy not going anywhere.
And that appears to be it for the notes today. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head back to the Boards and try to get some sleep that doesn't involve me sitting at my computer desk. Good day, Fandom.
