WTFH, Tuesday, April 3rd

Good morning, Fandom Island. I hope you're all recovered from the weekend -- I expect a number of us are going to be, well, exhausted for the next few days.

And a few of us may need tissues, so be sure to keep yourself well-stocked.

School!

With the kids still around yesterday, most of the classes were appropriately themed. Defending Yourself used the Droidbabies to teach defending others, which doesn't seem to have worked terribly well if the amount of screeching I hear happened actually did. Philosophy 101 watched Primary Police Officer, which apparently not all the kids liked, and Tyrion's daughter taught public speaking in Basic Strategy, where there was a lecture, during which Ben, Tyrion, and Kayla boggled over Blysse's large, wolfish son Fenrir and Kayla made Ben guess whose kid she is. And then kids presented their parents, and vice versa!

Food Tour of Fandom had an even more kid-friendly lesson yesterday: they decorated cupcakes. I hope they weren't exploding ones.

The Newspaper Club had a kid-friendly meeting with the kid-friendly newspaper, and William did not have any penguins in the library.

Dorms!

... were fairly quiet; apparently you were all off in town. Still, though, Natalie was having some quiet time in the room with her kids, at least until Lilith asked if she could check a news feed, and then Sam came by, Lilith stopped Ada from sharing spoilers, and Sam found out that Ada had inherited all of his powers, so he left to go for a walk.

And in Caroline's room, she, Jake, and the kids were sleeping until the kids wanted breakfast. That does seem to be the way of it, doesn't it? Damn kids, always wanting to be fed!

Town!

And here's where I'll be getting wordy. I'll give you a moment to grab refreshments and/or tissues, depending on your preference. Or both, if you think you'll need them at different times of the report.

For our usual Ender Monday at Stark Industries, he brought Val along and they talked about talky things! And then Ben-the-Younger showed up to break brains by being -the-Younger, our Ben just missing him as he left. Kate Gregson ran into Christian at the Perk, where they met Jack Priest, who had Christiana and Felix with him. Although not Annika or Amèlie, which quite honestly frightens me. Where are they if they're not together? Luke Castellan was there, as well, and talked about the kids he had with Percy, and Dorian and Bod met Christian and they discussed how everyone seems to have -ian names.

Is Bod short for Bodleian? That would be kind of cool.

And Lynn was at the Perk, too, where she was joined by Wyatt and Victoria. She explained that she is Wyatt's alternate universe half-sister, and there were pregnancy flails.

All the pregnancy flails. I think that's just endemic, these weekends.

Topher and Genevieve were at Chilly Boulder, where Topher was practicing the time-honoured tradition of child-ice-cream-bribery, but Genevieve couldn't decide what flavour she wanted. Tiny Ben showed up, too, so Topher bribed him with ice cream to find out what cool stuff Ben has done, and the triplets came by and freaked Topher out with triplet-unison-speaking-ness.

... That's a technical term, yes.

Over at Dite's, Karla did her best to sanitise things for the kids -- kind of difficult, I'd think, with that store -- where Collin showed up to show off his dyed wings. Karla hated them, but Kenzi approved before saying she's looking for her own kid, who may be the anti-Christ. The Priest-Frost triplets were at Dite's, too, and Amèlie called Karla prudish for disapproving of the wing-dying.

Elizabeth and Eirene came by to say hi, and Eirene told Karla about how she's Raven's daughter with Anakin.

... Anakin Solo, apparently.

Ellie wondered what would happen if a mature fourteen-year-old came into the store, and then when Kenzi came by looking for Vlad, directed her to the pet store. When Kenzi got back with him, he and Ellie recognised some of the stuff in the store from 'Auntie Bo's apartment,' prompting Kenzi to bemoan her status as the worst mother ever.

And then to complain to Karla about her kid -- it doesn't say which one -- which might prove her point!

Betty came by looking for something to freak out her dad, which... might be difficult, give his age and experience, and Berto had groceries for Dinah. Which seems to be an odd place, but I suppose she could have been there.

Stark had Ziya and Glitz at JGoB, and Jaime made his way to the Perk as well, where Lena assured him that she's having a good time but thinks he should be fixing things with Berto, and Elena -- different person -- wonders if Jaime's the same Jaime she met last time.

Tissue warning, people. The portal's next.

First to see their kids off were Jack and Emma, who want the triplets to take them with them -- but the girls assure him that this wouldn't be any fun. Dany and Rhaego speak in a language that the squirrels can't translate, but he does tell her he loves her and that they'll meet again. Peter and Karla said goodbye to Aindric, Percy and Luke see of Anna and Aritaseus, Natalie farewelled Lilith, and Kate Gregson cried when she and Bod saw off Dorian.

Chuck and Dany said goodbye to Ella, who wanted to know if she could take a dragon for show and tell when she gets home, Goose brought Star and Max to the portal, Mason wants to stay longer but Cara won't let him, Terry makes his way to the portal alone, and Rebecca tried to convince her cat to go through the portal.

... Really? Your cat?

Ethan tells Quinn and Bruce that they're better parents in the future, and then when he's gone they wonder how the hell he even happened. Dalia promises to try and visit more, and she and Jono discuss how their realities had to happen that way, and Billy and Topher give Antonia advice like "Don't get kidnapped!"

... I bet some of my kids could use that.

Sam LaCroix brought Ada to the portal, and when Piper and Lindsey brought Lynn, Lindsey took the moment to propose to Piper. Congratulations!

Rinoa and Seifer saw Sylvie off, and then Rinoa took a moment before seeing off the rest of her kids, and Jaye gives OJ a message to pass on to Obi-wan: he owes child support for the weekend.

Elphaba and Hanna said goodbye to Emily, then discussed how they won't see her again -- you never know, kids do show up for these more than once, even from the weird futures -- and I had all of my kids to see off. Caled realised that they couldn't all happen in the same universe, which is why weekends like this are awesome, Katrina said that she likes coming back every year, Pandora left Hercules and I with a hint as to how she happened in the first place -- not much of one, though. Sangria? Really? -- and I was sad that I hadn't had a chance to spend more time with Gawain over the weekend.

Elle figured she's not likely to show up again when was saying goodbye to Jono and Hayley, and Luke told Tiny Ben to tell his own Luke to spend more time with him. Elizabeth promised Jono and Raven that she'd come back before she and Eirene left, and Rinoa and Warren had a one-sided goodbye with Pluma.

Warren, along with Karla, also said goodbye to Nommy and Kayla, with Nommy threatening to come back next year, and then Karla joined Elphaba to say goodbye to Lurlianna. River wondered if Squall will miss her, Kenzi and Toby said goodbye to Ellie and Vlad, Stark sent off Glitz and Ziya, with Ziya saying that her mom says she's not impossible, and -- finally -- Lucrezia brought Juan to the portal to bid him adieu.

And so I bid you all adieu, Fandom Island. Until next week, this is Ronan Nolan, with your Tuesday news of yesterday, today.
