WTFH, Tuesday, March 5th
*a loud crack of displaced air* Did I make it in time? Oh, good. Hey, everyone, Ronan Nolan here, just in time to give you the news of yesterday, today. I hope you had a less eventful night than I did.
School!
In Defending Yourself, Max was lecturing about endurance before the students had to run around the island's rougher terrain, after which they got to chill on the beach. Food Tour watched a documentary on beer, and Philosophy 101 watched One Hovered Above the Nesting Dodos, to which the students reacted in various ways. Finally, Basic Strategy was set on a sinking ship. That was on fire.
Tyrion, you are the best professor ever to attend this school.
Students had to group up and decide which five items they'd save from the sinking ship.
The newspaper had a meeting, where Dave -- get this -- had coffee and people worked on their submissions for the next issue. Also, this week's issue was released! And William had gummi penguins in the library, which just sound adorable, while there was a horrible monster -- if by horrible monster one means adorable kitten -- in the office.
Dorms!
Peter Wiggin couldn't sleep, which was probably useful when Topher came by, since it means Topher didn't wake him up with chatter about Billy. Kenzi showed up in the morning, with donuts, which hopefully cheered him up. In the second floor lounge, Loki was watching TV -- some show about drag queens, apparently -- when ALL THE PEOPLE showed up.
All the people.
Anna and Loki wondered if they were watching Shakespeare -- actually, I've seen a production or two like that -- while Kenzi brought Anna souvenirs from Rio. Bobby accused Loki of wanting to take over the island -- what, with drag queens? -- while Anna was confused by the hostility until Bobby explained it wasn't directed at her. Bruce explained to Loki that internet piracy is wrong -- I'm sure that lecture took -- and then Bruce and Anna discussed Fandom's walls. And shoes. Bruce then confused Cara with his explanation of cable channels.
Tara explained both the show and human politics to Loki, and then talked to Anna about both Brazil and a slip'n'slide. Butters explained drag queens to Loki, but Anna didn't entirely accept the explanation. Oh, and Kenzi bounced over to say hi to Butters. Cara and Loki bemoaned the woes of ruling, while Wesley was surprised that Anna liked the show. He snarked at Loki, and Kenzi told Loki that the show reminded her of Carnival.
Town!
Ender had his laptop, tomatoes, and Ben at Stark Industries, where they talked about how things are took quiet -- seriously, boys? Over at 'Dite's, Karla received a shipment of naughty games and romantic movies, explained to 'Dite about the cock naming contest, and got apologies from Raven for the other night's drunk dialing, and then Bo came by for shopping and met 'Dite. Joan was multi-tasking at the Devil's Nest -- working and shoe shopping -- and Annie was unsuccessful in making the Goodvalor's droids read her newspaper article. Finally, Cafe Luke's had a vegan day, and over at Caritas, Jake was beating Tino at table hockey.
And that's it, folks! This was Ronan Nolan with the news of yesterday, today. Have a good week!
