WTFH, Tuesday, January 31st
Goooood morning, Fandom Island! It's your usual Tuesday Ronan Radio, with your host, Ronan Nolan, and the lovely WTFH radio squirrels. Say hello, squirrels!
*chittering*
As always, we've got the notes from yesterday to keep you all updated on who's doing who, what, and when!
School!
Food seems to be the topic of the day, with Defending Yourself covering what to do when assassins attack you in a restaurant. Or, at least, being aware that it could happen. And does.
That's a story for another time.
At any rate, student sat, presumably practicing their awareness, in a simulated restaurant. Food Tour of Fandom was in another simulation, this one recreating Melbourne, Australia, as they talked about coffee culture. And drank coffee. Mmm, coffee.
Tyrion was all about making the students do the work in Basic Strategy, making them pair off to figure out what they could teach each other. Which, really, given the... diverse skillsets that Fandom students have, isn't so much a bad idea. And, as usual, it was a movie day in Philosophy 101, where the students watched a... thematic film, given this past weekend's particular madness.
This week's newspaper is out! Which is awesome, because I don't think we've had one for a while? And then the newspaper club had a meeting, with pastries and working. Kappa Kappa Gremlin had their meeting, too, which was apparently "Unashamedly Male." With lots of meat.
... I can't be the only one snickering at that, can I?
Anyway, following the... copious amounts of meat were violent video games. Honestly, guys, beating each other up is way manlier. Huh, maybe someone should start up another Fight Club? That used to be awesome.
Over in the library, William dealt with style mags for women's fashion, while the office had "madcap shenanigans" with "elk riding." You can hear the airquotes, I'm sure. Really, I do have to wonder what it is they actually get up to in the office here. ... Or maybe this just explains all the paperwork mixups. And, finally, people were actually in the cafeteria! I didn't really think anyone actually used that, but Britta was skeptical of the vegetarian meatloaf's vegetarian status, she and Tara were worried about the food's mobility talking about Philosophy 101, and then Matt declined Britta's offer of assistance before they shamelessly flirted about this weekend's treatment of the island's males.
That's it for the school, now onto the...
Dorms!
... where Sam had a tofu omelette in celebration of once more being a guy and Natalie was awkward at him.
That's it?
You people are boring. Be more exciting.
Town!
Ender was cheerful at Stark Industries, possibly because a certain someone came by to make with the kissing at lunchtime. Nooners: a fine Fandom tradition since... probably long before I started going there. Surreal, meanwhile, was working at the Magic Box, where she was reading on the job. Not that I blame her, because books!
Vincent had a literary theme at Cafe Luke's, where he got Zinzi -- who must be new, I don't believe I know her -- and Sloth.
... Well, I'm acquainted with sloth, but probably not in the sense the notes mean.
At any rate, Zinzi was hoping for raw kale for Sloth, got the usual, "real, student, or robot?" trifecta of questions instead, and ended up with a job. As one does. Kenzi, meanwhile, was

Seriously, guys. It's not that bad! Just think of it as... a learning opportunity.
Finally, Jake had Caritas open, and wasn't even giving Tino a hard time. Now that's just wrong. Giving Tino a hard time is an even more important Fandom tradition.
