Fandom Radio, 3/18/07

Hey there, Fandom, it's Nadia Santos, back on WTFH, fresh off the bus from New York City. Or possibly not so fresh. It was a long train ride back.

But anyway! You're here for news. So I'll give you news.

School

As usual, it's Sunday, so--oh, no, wait, here we go, it seems the office was open, today. And since the New York trip was school sponsored, then I'll tell you we all got back just fine in here, too.

But that's it.

Dorms

In the computer lab, Buffy was reading and sending emails. I haven't checked my email yet, this weekend, is there something I should know? Well, I guess I'll find out later. There's . . . kind of a lot of information here, so I'll just quote the notes: "Seely sends an e-mail, Buffy finds out Seely slept with Alec and gets too many details and then decides they can't date any more, and Seely tries to change her mind". Good luck, Buffy and Seely.

Parker and Weiss talk about bad dreams. Yeek. Anyone with bad dreams has my whole-hearted sympathy. Dreams can suck as bad as robots, fish monsters, snow monsters . . . okay, the list of things that can suck is actually really long, so I won't go into it, here. But again, sympathy. Seely didn't get enough of emails in the lab, so he sends some more. Dawn and Sam fought over an Alec-email . . . and I'm really thinking I should have checked mine, this weekend. Ah well. Cam tells Molly he got accepted . . . somewhere. Don't know where, but congratulations, Cam. John Conner did laundry. The squirrels are nothing if not thorough. River came back to town. Another one I didn't know was gone, but, hey, welcome back, River! Dawn asks Dean if she can stay with him, and they both wonder about Sam. I'm assuming that's Dean's brother, Sam, and not girl!Sam. Cassie tried to get her shirt back from Dean but changed her mind. Parker and Weiss went out of town. I hope you guys have fun . . . if you're listening now. If you listen when you get back, then I hope you guys had fun. Annette told Cally about the New York trip, and Teddy told Chad about the same thing. Naomi calls home and helps John with his laundry. That's what I like to see, people helping each other. Go little sis, go!

Aeryn got out of jail--wait, Aeryn was in jail? It's times like this that I wish I read these notes in a different order. I'm glad you're not in jail anymore, Aeryn!--and to celebrate, she and John had "not-dirty shower time". I'm . . . not going to try to guess what that means.

Isabel studied in her room. Jack interrupted girl!Sam to tell her about New York. Lana stayed home and read, as did Irulan. Pippi got down with her bad self and was joined by Pip. And Parker "is back and drinking". Back from, I'm assuming, going out of town with Eric? For some reason I thought that'd be a longer trip. Well, Parker, once again, I hope you had fun. And lastly but not leastly, Jude and Rikku also hung out post NYC trip. I plan to do a bit of that myself, once I'm done here.

Town

Batou opened Sanctity. And I swear, some day, I will go there, if just to find out what it is. Giles came to town. He met up with someone named Stanley, and they talked about street names. Aiden and Giles talked business, and Yomiko and Giles talked books, and El and Giles met. As did Wade and Giles, and my notes say that Wade was "far too excited" about that. Xander caught up on paperwork, and Giles was surprised to see him when he came to rent an apartment. So, I guess, this Giles knows Xander. Or a Xander, at least. This town can be so confusing, sometimes. Willow was happy to hear that Giles' Willow made it to her 21st year. Yeah, I have no idea what that's about. But hey, yay for Giles' version of Willow! Later on, Bridge came to visit Xander. I'll try not to "awwwww" too much on the radio. Rose is back in town after going . . . I dunno, somewhere.

Ah, see, here is where it says that Aeryn was in jail. But, as we know from the dorms notes, she got out. I'm going to say "Yay for getting out of jail" again. Someone should throw her a party. I say that as someone who's been to jail before. Also, parties are fun.

Apparently "some guy named Scorpius" talked to John in the park. Or "confronted", rather. I hope that all goes okay, too. Mel and Dawn were also in the park, only later. And Sunday brunch was at Cafe Fina today.

Over at Caritas, GOB was hungover. It's the day after a holiday that apparently involves a lot of drinking and dancing on bars, what do you expect? Shuichi opened the Devil's Nest as usual. Doogie had the morning shift at the clinic, and Stark had the evening shift.

And that's all we've got for today, folks. This has been Nadia Santos, reporting live from WTFH right here in Fandom, but, well, you knew that, didn't you. Onwards, upwards, and into the week. Let's hope it's a good one.

Isabel was half listening to the podcast Monday morning when her attention was caught by news of who was in town. Frowning, she picked up her phone and left two (http://can-be-more.livejournal.com/27342.html?thread=5053902#t5053902) messages (http://whitedeathpod.livejournal.com/61861.html?thread=6081701#t6081701), hoping that everything was okay.
