Fandom Radio: Thursday March 1st

Good evening, Fandom. It's Aly minus everyone's favourite talking cat. I'll try to make up for his absence. Shrimp and tuna can be sent to him care of Alanna.

There weren't any classes today. If it's a surprise? I...really don't have anything I can do anything for you at all. You all have one more day of vacation left. Make sure you do something fun with it.

Unsurprisingly though, the office was open. As was the library. Okay, seriously? Refer back to my previous statement. Go have fun tomorrow. The library doesn't count. Hermione and Rikku dicuss the possibility of Hermione being bitten by a rabid mushroom. That's a new use for fungus. Mrs. Readman helps Hemione find information on licanthropes while Willow and Zack research sentient plant life. This would probably be the wrong time to make a vegetarian joke?

Ami was sketching in the 4th Floor Common Room this morning. Unlike what I hear about Jake drawing Annette in red leather, the squirrels didn't notice what Ami was drawing. I'm guessing it didn't involve leather. She did have a visitor in Conner who learned about Ami's memories of...alien abuction.

Naomi got a call from home and a visitor in the form of Ami who told about her abduction. Annette, who's just a busy girl today, drags an emo!Chad out of his room and Tori - who the squirrels either don't think is emo or don't care to comment - out of hers. Tori and Anders discuss what can be done about Tori's abduction. Am I really far behind on the slang? Is abduction code for something nowadays?

Walter and Pippi are ships crossing in the night - or at least the room as one leaves and the other returns. Jack and River are less ships and more shippy as they have pizza then retire to Jack's room for ice cream. Part of that spy training, Jack? I'm not sure River's tall enough. Jack proves his...speediness by showing up at Isabel's room a bit later. Mel stops by too and complains about the lack of action. If anyone's looking? Apparently Mel's interested.

Pippi and Nadia compare stories about their trips. Apparently Nadia and Jamie ended up in jail. Really. I'm shocked. Who have thought. And in less incarcerated news, Irulan gets messages from home.

The town was just a hotbed of complaints today as Emma, Annette, Aiden, and Dawn all take their complaints about the mail to Mayor Braca. Bet you wish that you didn't open Town Hall now.

Sister Rosette decorated the church with daffodils and leeks today. I have a note here to be sure to say. *pause* Seriously? There aren't even any vowels in this.

Dydd Gwyl Ddewi!

There's no way that's even close to the correct pronunciation. Regardless. Good St David's Day. Hit your neighbour about the pate with a leek.

The twins open Sparky Repairs; Jane and Apu are discussing movies at Turtle and Canary; and Fred opens Weasley's Wizard Wheezes to receive an important phone call.

And Moist von Lipwig comes to town to take control of the post. First. Moist? Of all the names on the island, that's the weirdest. Moist? It's not even a nice word.

Unlike its rival drinking establishment, the Devil's Nest is open for business. Jack and River drink fruity drinks and talk nipples before they try the do the dancing thing. I almost just called it the vertical mambo. I'm so ashamed.

Liz, John Connor, and Lana were all still in the clinic this morning and seem to all be there at night too.

For those of you who didn't leave their homes today? Student Council hosted a Winter Carnival in the Park. I'm convinced it was planned just so Faithful and I could tell you about it and mock Alanna for hating the cold, but I'm cohostless so the mockery isn't quite as fun. No, I don't know where Faithful is. Last time he was stuck up a tree. Take your cue from that.

There's food and drink as often there is as such events. Or really any event the Student Council touches. Josh? Maybe you should change their name to the Food Council. Student Body in Charge of Snacks. Aeryn and Isabel chat about winter and how Aeryn's meeting John's parents this weekend. *amused laughter* Good luck with that, Aeryn. Honor is amused by English Peter's choice of snack then Peter - the English one still or the transitition doesn't fit - tells Willow that he has to go home. Hey, Peter? You realise Spring Break was this week, right? Because it's okay to be slow about things like that. Annette sneaks up on Dick - not dirty - before buying food for emo!Chad and telling Leo that funnel cakes are good. ...Wow. I'm glad that made it into the notes. I think the squirrels are fixated on food. Aiden, Stark, and Billy all get food. Jack tells Parker that 'Cedric is in for the thing with the stuff.' Yeah. A code would be pretty useful right then, wouldn't it.

Ice skating seems to be almost as popular as food. Setsuna and Ami glide across the pond. Blair tells River she’s beautiful, and Dawn tells Buffy that she’s jealous of her poster. Not quite the same ring as Blair’s endorsement, but okay. Katara teaches Lucas how to skate while Annette tries to teach Chad. *flipping through notes* Okay, I have to ask. Did the ice break? Cause Chad’s a big man and that would be funny. Eschewing conversation and focusing on skating are Honor, Mac, Billy, and Irulan.

Rosette, Charlie, and I all sled, and let me just say this. I will always, always win in a sled race, Mr. Kawalsky. Remember that. There’s also ice sculpting. Ami goes about it the traditional way and ends up with an alien causing Tori to WTF. Katara makes a turtleseal and Tori gives it a top hat, and Isabel sculpts a monkey. Who’s apparently dating the turtleseal. There’s something about an overload of cuteness here and I don’t even want to read the note. And Leo stares at ice. Fascinating.

Annette plays in the snow fort with a big cat before talking Chad into breaking the strength machine. Hope you feel better now, Chad?

And there’s a firepit. Because when I think of snow? I think of fire. Oh, wait. I don’t. But that’s because I have a normal tolerance for cold unlike certain short redheads with purple eyes I could name. Ami tells Tori about a map she drew then Annette checks up on Tori to make sure she’s okay, and Neil and Tori chat. Further fireside chats include Dick asking Mac what he's really like. And there are too many jokes there. None of which are appropriate. Especially since Mac has a girlfriend. And Dawn tells Bridge she spoke to Xander and Xander's having issues being 26. Wouldn't know about that and now I'm curious.

That seems to be all I have for you, Fandom. Remember what I said, enjoy the rest of your Spring Break and have fun. I’m heading off island for a bit. Jamie? If you try to take over my class, your experience with pie will seem like a wonderful childhood memory.

Night! Don't let the rocks fall while I'm gone.
