Fandom Radio, Monday, January 15
Faithful: "Good evening Fandom! We here at Pirate Radio are very happy to hear that no one has run screaming home to their mommies yet. Or something."
Aly: "If we're pleased, why are you keeping score of possible candidates?"
Faithful: "Because I haven't lost a single bet yet."
Aly: "You haven't won one either"
Faithful: "Give it some time, I have a few people I'm working on."
Aly: "Ooooh, who? Need any help?"
Faithful: "I'm good for now, but I'll definetly keep you in mind if they proove to be difficult."
Aly: "HA. So you admit I'm better at it than you are."
Classes. Where the probability of you learning something goes up with the cups of coffee consumed.
Faithful: "Are not. DAMM discusses hand gestures to ward off evil. I can think of quite a few, but I don't think they ward off that type of evil. Phoebe tells Wyatt about Grams. I care why? Wyatt invites Jo to his room. Yuck. Chris and Willow talk about magic. Why oh why do you people never talk about anything interesting?"
Aly: "Since when aren't Gifts interesting? Phoebe and Sam - cute Sam, I think, the notes aren't clear - compare mullet rock to fighting evil. Well, obviously. That's such last year's comparison. Shawn and Katara pair up, and Schrodinger tells Cally to shoot evil rather than making hand gestures at it. Well, that depends on the size of your gun, doesn't it?"
Faithful: "I say shoot evil, period. Making hand gestures will probably only annoy it. Unless you're a magician, but that's another discusion. Dawn and Alanna debate Dean's music collection. I can't even imagine what this has to do with class. Setsuna teaches Walter some hand gestures that will them frown out of a few countries. Willow wants to know if any goats were harmed in the making of this class. And Will just wants to know what the heck the class is about. As do I Will, as do I."
Aly: "I'm going to go with Damning Things. Probably goats. In shocking news, Pop Culture discusses cultural icons. No, really. I'm surprised. The diligent students tells what their icon is and the even more diligent Ami talks to Rose after class."
Faithful: "Crazy people. Medialist what they'd bring with them on a deserted island. No lists include transport machine, boat, or air plane. However, Zero has a nervous break down over only being allowed four pieces of music. If that's her biggest problem, I want her life. Conflict Management talks about ... conflict. The suprise! They discuss hypothetical scenarios and then a very real Lana gives Blair a present. No word yet on if it exploded or not."
Aly: *sound of flipping pages* "It doesn't look like Blair ended up in the clinic, so let's assume it didn't. Fairy Tales talks about character archetypes. You'd probably know something about that, wouldn't you, cat? They meet to discuss group projects and identify the hero and villain of two tales. Here's a hint. The hero always wears a white hat. Always."
Faithful: "In yet another 'd'uh' moment, Ethics students are reminded that people are lying liars who lie. Turtle gets detention for asking a question. Jeez. Jamie gets detention for - bwah! - okay, this is good. He gets detention for drawing Vader and V making with the UST. During actual class time, Students tell the truth. No, I don't get it either. Katara asks Vader if he really blew up a planet and gets...you guessed, detention! And finally, Marco asks Vader about Yeerks. Suprisingly, he doesn't get detention."
Aly: "What *are* Yeerks? Maybe I should ask Vader. Yondaime passed out a handout in Fitness before making the students run laps. Yomiko opens the library and grass is green, the office is open."
Faithful: "HIkaru harrasses Miss Fizzle, Naomi harasses some guy named Geordi LaForge. Poor guy. In a very dumb move, Seely harasses Ares."
Aly: "As for the rest of the teachers, Captain Liberty - no, seriously, that's a NAME? - Thursday Next, and Dr. Orpheus are unloved and unvisited."
Dorms. Where the probability of you sleeping decreases as the semester goes on.
Faithful: "School is over, now we sleep. Or at least, move on to the dorms. Ami wins the award for the dullest student alive as she reads college referance books and tells Setsuna that she's taking a correspondence course in math. Cally was attacked by an evil jackass while in California and meets Ami who is not an evil jackass and cheers up Billy. Ami does, not Cally or Setsuna."
Aly: "Apparently Billy's a hard one to make happy. Up in the Fifth Floor Common Room this morning, Sokka yells at some puppets. In the light of Mr. Booth's circumstances last semester, it must be clarified that these are on the TV. He then declares himself the King of Weird when talked to Rikku. Right...around here, I think that title is claimed. Rikku talks about noses with Katara, and Katara and Sokka conspire over reading materials and keeping Zuko ignorant. Huh. Of what?"
Faithful: "Of his ignorance? Anders decides not to scare newbies. Bad Anders, no cookie. Sokka explains to Anders why he's yelling at the TV. Was it showing pirates again? Pippi tells Sokka the TV can't hear him yell. Neither can the radio, I'm just saying. Alec points out that Rikku is watching a kid's show. Oy."
Aly: "Oh what interesting lives we all lead. Attempting physical fitness today are Ray on the punching bag and Billy with the tackling dummies. ...we have tackling dummies? This evening, Pippi sits on the edge of the roof and hums. No. Really. And Nadia tries not to be sick on the ground. Someone want to go help her?"
Faithful: "Not I said the cat. Jim is watching 60 in the second floor. 60 what? Tannim is wondering the same thing. But Tyler is happy by the violence. Moron 4 and Jim are geeks. Good to know. Maybe he'll become geek #4. Cassie and Peter say hi. Oh yeah, definetly Geek #4."
Aly: "Because he says hi to a girl?"
Faithful: "Because that's all he says to a girl."
Aly: *chuckling* "Maybe the squirrels got bored. Aeryn, on the other hand, doesn't have an issue with killing people and wants to sign up to do so more. I'm unsurprised. Irulan came by. No note on her hat. Cassie, Naomi, and Parker are also drawn by the violence."
Faithful: "Jamie is lazy. The world is round. John has a headache. He has my full sympathy. Chad and Teddy are...reading books. Dick sends e-mails. I hate life."
Aly: "Not as much as Nadi who napped and had a bad dream. Cedric was levitating his balls before Isabel threw marshmellows at him. Lana catches up with cookie-bringing Maia before dealing with unhappy Jim."
Faithful: "Isabel is reading. Isabel, I like you, but why, oh why do I care? Same goes for Dawn. But at least she talks to Mel about Zombies. Wait, what? Mac waits in vain for Cally."
Aly: "Aww, poor Mac. In news of the non-stood up variety, Chris picks up Jo for their date. Anders plays with his ball - big night for that, apparently. Maia's alone in her room while Katara is down at the beach. Demyx gets excited that she can waterbend too. And English Peter is doing his homework when Willow brings him chocolate. She's trying to fatten him up apparently?"
Faithful: "Um...oh. Earlier in the day, Cally and Mac talk about classes. Their relationship is just full of excitment. Maia tells River about the other River. I'm not sure which River should be capitalized there. Kevin Flynn and The Doctor feel extremely masochistic and go eat with the students today."
Town. Where I'm out of ideas.
Aly: *sound of laughing* "Seriously Faithful, try it some time. John Connor is screaming at Sparky Repairs today. Hopefully a wrench didn't hit him in the head. Braca steals office supplies and writes letters at Town Hall while Dr. Venture advertises shrinky ray testing. I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but wouldn't enlargement ray be a better seller?"
Faithful: "So we'd have 10 feet tall students stomping around? Thanks, I'd rather take the 2 feet tall ones. Cassie meets Lana in Giles's store. I just report the news. Pippi wants to jam, but instead Chad talks about cheerleaders. Shouldn't that be the other way around? Teddy apologizes to Chad for not seeing him. For some reason, the squirrels are chuckling. I think they need rehab. Jamie and Marie grab lunch at Luke's and apparently it's a big deal that nothing happens at church."
Aly: "Turtle and Jude meet in the park and decide not to hit ducks. Guys? I have one talking cat right here who's encouraging duck smashing. Along as he gets to eat them. Deadpool meets Shuichi and his hair in the park. Jane and Cube - okay, who's Cube? - argue at All and Sundries, and Turtle and Jude head to Selkie Cove with a skateboard. That's going to end up well. Really."
Faithful: "How many parts are they in now? Over in Caritas, Jarod gets a phone call. Let's throw him a party! Chris and Jo chat. And I get confused over who she's wanting to date. Thursday orders a large, very alcoholic drink. I can relate. She then procedes to try to get Logan really drunk."
Aly: "Which is what I wouldn't mind being. And I'm still sad the squirrels won't bring us alcohol. Rose chatted with Jarod and wondered why the lounge smelled like bananas. Don't we all. Before tryiing to get Logan drunk, Thursday met up with Hades in the Preserve. Clark opened the hotel, and Bridge and Z went walking in the Park tonight. Apparently stuff happened."
Faithful: "Finally, the clinic is quiet. But only for some time, because then Nadia and Bel bring Cally in. And that's all fo- oh, wait. Susan said good-bye to Willow, Daniel, and Janet. By Susan! I have no idea who you are but have a safe trip!"
Aly: "Safe journey, Susan! And feel better, Cally!"
Faithful: "Yeah, what she said. Good night Fandom! Try not to be so boring!"
Aly: "Or at least not so cute!"
Faithful: "I'm the only one who's allowed to be cute!"
Aly: "There are claws too near me for me to disagree. Night!"
Faithful: "Night!"
Aly: "If we're pleased, why are you keeping score of possible candidates?"
Faithful: "Because I haven't lost a single bet yet."
Aly: "You haven't won one either"
