Fandom Radio: Monday December 18

Aly: "Oh, good, you're here."

Zuko: "He wouldn't go away unless I went with him." *pause* "Where's here?"

Aly: "To help me do radio." *rustle of papers* "Here's some notes."

Zuko: "... What's radio?"

Aly: "Seriously?"

Zuko: "Yes."

Aly: "You really need to pay more attention to things. Every day the squirrels watch what everyone does. They take notes and the notes are read on radio. You're going to help report today."

Zuko: "I don't care what everyone does. I have better things to do with my time. What's a squirrel?"

Aly: "This? Is why you'll never be a spy."

Zuko: "I want to be Fire Lord, not a spy."

Aly: "You need information to rule anything. Don't pay attention to what's going on around you, you'll never get to rule, let alone rule well. So read the notes."

School. It's What Happens when You're Not Paying Attention

Zuko: *sullenly* "Cross species communions and Media Studies Eight communions have finals and I am certain that neither classes would be helpful for a future Fire Lord."

Aly: "Prophecy, however, might be useful to know if you're going to be a Fire Lord or not. Anders lets Bel hold his hand making Phoebe confused. Honestly? You three need to just work this out."

Zuko: "In Spinach they watch a no doubt bad movie while we did some presentations about our own culture in Pop Culture. I didn't set off any sprinklers."

Aly: "That's a first. I'm impressed. Really."

Zuko: "I wasn't trying. Interesting relations had an exam. There is a class on relations?"

Aly: "Do you need a class on, ahem, relations?"

Zuko: "No. Unless with interesting they mean diplomacy."

Aly: *chuckling* "Interstellar. And yes. Though a class on Interesting Relations would be fun. Jack Harkness could teach it."

Zuko: "Interstellar?"

Aly: "Between different countries and planets. Daisy Adair sent messages to her students. She may have cancelled the exam. Or maybe not. Miss Frizzle is attacked by books, and Dr. Wilson has visitors."

Zuko: "I don't believe in different planets. Bridge made that up. Az... Azis... Azira... What sort of name is that? He was in his office and he didn't have eggs like in the other open office. And Thursday there will be books causing difficulties and forcing people outside. Books are dangerous?"

Dorms. Where Books Attack.

Aly: "Today? Yes. Maybe the books are sick of people cramming for exams. Anders fended off divebombing books with his Pyramid ball outside this morning. The Doctor tries to talk him out of studying, before he and English Peter bond over ferocious books and finals."

Zuko: "People seem to like eggs. River leaves one in front of Alanna's room. Gwynn teaches hers how to hunt. Do eggs here do that?"

Aly: "See what you learn when you pay attention to the radio?"

Zuko: "Knowing that your chickens lay hunting eggs will not help the Fire Nation in any way."

Aly: *laughter* "Knowing the vagaries of your situation can only help you find your advantages. Or don't you learn tactics in the Fire Nation? Speaking of tactics, the Student Council provided coffee and doughnuts for a study session in the 5th Floor Common Room this afternoon. Billy isn't surprised by attacking books. Of course you aren't, dear. And Buffy wonders if Willow wants a present. Is Willow female? Then yes."

Zuko: *grumbling* "The Fire Nation will not win a war by sending pigchickens at the earthbenders. We could use cheerbunnies, which Buffy says that Molly is. Molly is strong and would actually be useful in a fight. Unlike Cally who tells Peter that she got injured by a book and Jaye who even refuses to fight at all. They're both useless."

Aly: "Jaye - on whom I make no judgements on whatsoever - is jealous that English Peter doesn't have to go to college - hey, I didn't either - and then gets a present from Buffy to make up for it. Molly, who's a good spy, has her comic book problem under control. Good for you."

Zuko: "Alec has more serious problems as he didn't know there were tests and claims he wasn't warned. Jaye then pretends she didn't know either. If they were at war they'd both be dead now"?"

Aly: "In less somber news, Pip offers to help Peter with his Latin and Cally with self defence. Well, he's just an all-around helpful guy, isn't he. And Bridge has a package for English Peter. Dirty. Or Not Dirty. The squirrels are unclear."

Zuko: "Peter washes. Which I'm not sure if Bel and Phoebe apparently... snuggled. I was dying to know that. In other book news, Jake lost his coffee to the books and Hermione has her own struggle. At least she was winning unlike the rest of this school who apparently can handle trolls but not a few books. Ever heard of just burning them?"

Aly: "Not everyone has fire at their disposal."

Zuko: "That's not my problem."

Aly: "Not a bad point. Okay. So books? Bad enough to get attacked by. Seely this morning? Gets attacked by nun porn." *gales and gales of giggles* "This seems to be just before Kawalsky tells Cameron he got a lap dance from Jack Harkness. Kawalsky that is. Hmpf. In less disturbing news, Buffy gives Rory a present for Vladdie. I'm guessing it's a bone."

Zuko: "What's nun porn?"

Aly: "Ask Seely. He's apparently intimately familiar."

Zuko: "Peter doesn't like him. What's a lapdance?"

Aly: "Go find a girl your age to show you."

Zuko: "... Do you know anything? I thought you found information so important."

Aly: "I know plenty. You're just too young for me to explain it to."

Zuko: "I am NOT too young."

Aly: "If you have to ask..."

Zuko: *growls* "Isabel gives Bel an egg and I have no idea why this is considered news. And as a change of pace Cally and Teddy talk about attacking books. You know, instead of actually dealing with them. At least Peter and Willow fight... No. They hid under a desk and snuggled." *long pause followed by a soft thumping noise* "I can not believe this."

Aly: *chuckling* "Not everyone can live up to your standards apparently. Here's one you'll be happy with. My student Sakurazaki is in a war with her war books when the twins stop by. Sun Tzu, Sakurazaki! John and Aeryn aren't cute for once but rather finish off yesterday's argument. And Pip and Pippi visit."

Zuko: "At the cafeteria Billy eats, I am certain that we are all shocked. He doesn't seem to notice the water overflow in the cafeteria. Buffy thinks herself a waterbender and talks to the river about presents and Pippi will miss classes because she's going on a sailing trip. As long as it won't take a couple of years."

The Town. Where People are Delusional.

Aly: "Maybe it's just a three hour tour. Our esteemed mayor learns how to 'rollerblade.' And that's in quotations because he hasn't learned how not to fall. The bookstore and Sparky's are opened. Also? Grass is green."

Zuko: "Both Pippi and Clark visit the music shop... They went voluntarily? Why would anyone do that? What is it with you people and music? Kaw... Kawalsky is smarter and heads down the beach where he rubs a genius bottle. The bottle then makes him think he's a prince... You don't become a prince by rubbing a bottle! You're born a prince. It's either your destiny or it isn't."

Aly: "What if you marry into the royal family?"

Zuko: "Peasants don't get to marry royalty. You have to be of importance before you can marry a prince."

Aly: ""Haven't you ever read a fairy tale?" *pause* "Actually, nevermind, I'm sure you haven't. Dr. Venture doesn't like the church which just shows his poor taste. Leo picks up cookie ingredients, and The Doctor tells Jane about shirtless night at Caritas. ... There was shirtless night? And I missed it? I'm devastated."

Zuko: "Who goes shirtless in this weather? Leo is smart and wears a hat. Parker, Pippi, Isabel, Willow, Sam and Parker... Parker goes twice? They all gather to go catch a hawkeye. Is that like a messenger hawk?"

Aly: "Pretty men and your vice-principal apparently. Who is also a pretty man. Ernest corralls books at the hotel. And I have to ask this. Anyone who can answer me, I'll buy a drink. Do people ever actually stay at the hotel? I mean other than when your parents and assorted relatives came to visit? Cafe Fina and the Devil's Nest are both open and empty."

Zuko: "Rosette goes to Caritas and gets a bottle. I hope she didn't rub it and started thinking she's a princess. Billy-who-ate-lunch went to the clinic. Did that green demon go over and give him a teddy bear too? Maybe he wasn't there long enough as the clinic was empty when Janet was there in the evening. Are we done now?"

Aly: "Looks like it. Have anything to add?"

Zuko: "Yes. I didn't learn anything except that you're all hopeless when it comes to attacking books and you all have weird obsessions with hunting eggs."

Aly: *chuckles* "And there you have it, people. Fandom summed up in a sentence."

Zuko: "Can I go now?"

Aly: "Say good night, Zuko."

Zuko: "No."

Phoebe frowned at the radio... and may have thrown something at it.

She was going to have to go have words with Anders again it would seem.
